The hotel bar and reception areas were lovely and only a short stroll from the city centre. The room however, was pretty poor. There was rot around the window, the decor and the bathroom was incredibly dated, and the TV remote didn't work. It was warm, but opening the window wasn't really an option, due to the sound of the extractor fans directly outside.

Would not recommend and would definitely not return, dirty bar and restaurant in the old side floor looked like it definitely needed a clean food was awful, staff there were nothing short of don't give a damm. Bed was uncomfortable and not well made radiator was off so Room was very cold sparse amount of tea and coffee just 2 packs of each. Overall a bad experience

Great hotel when you like to stay in a historical building. Very close to town center so good starting point for trips in Exeter. A bonus is the parking place behind the building making it easy to get to by car.

The white hart was a warm and welcoming establishment with the whole of Exeter City centre within walking distance. The rooms were clean with great ameamaities, and the beds were extremely comfortable, waking up feeling refreshed and well rested. The staff always had a smile on their faces and the food in the pub was delicious and great value for your money. This charming and quant 14th century pub & hotel is ideal for your visit to Exeter.

We have been coming here for 4 years..long weekend Christmas shopping and chilling..its one of our faves ...always welcome and friendly ..ideal location well ..we just love it ..feels like home

Superb location, great value for money, comfy beds and helpful staff. Gemma on Reception is wonderful. We arrived in Exeter graduation week when the town and all hotels and restaurants are heaving. The hotel was busier than usual but still gave great service and still my favourite place to stay in Exeter.

A group of us went here for our Christmas meal. The staff were really rude and got our orders wrong despite the fact they'd been pre ordered and deposits paid weeks before. Staff need training on how to serve at tables, you don't lean across someone to give someone else their meal which is exactly what happened. If you plan to go as a group I wouldn't bother.
