Throw to Fire
I had a fantastic time during my workshop with Throw To Fire. The excellent tuition and relaxed atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening. I'm looking forward to seeing my vase once it’s out of the kiln. I recommend this class to anyone looking to try something new!

Throw to Fire
Recently had a 2 hour session with Bex whilst away with my partner, Emma, as a little anniversary surprise. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher!! Bex is extremely patient and we both left having had a great experience. For me, having limited movement in one hand, Bex had had a think in advance and thought up ideas that we could try out and I was able to give it a reasonable go. Emma thoroughly enjoyed herself which is what it was all about and is looking forward to doing some more classes going forward (shame we are not more local). Thank you again for your hospitality and we will one day pop back.

Throw to Fire
We enjoyed a private 2 hour session with Bex who’s teaching style is the perfect balance of supportive, encouraging and fun. She took the time to demonstrate all aspects of throwing and explained just the right amount of theory to keep the session light whilst ensuring we knew what we were trying to achieve. The studio is well equipped and there is lots of inspirational work surrounding the wheel. We were both able to make two pots, which were fired and glazed to a high finish. I Would definitely book this again.

Throw to Fire
We came for a taster throwing lesson and I was surprised by how much I could experience in half an hour. Bex was really welcoming and supported us to learn the techniques with gentle and encouraging guidance. I really liked that she gave us the freedom to get it wrong and experience everything for ourselves. Really enjoyed it and would come back again!

I attend Bex’s vase making workshop in the summer. Bex was an excellent teacher and talked us step by step through the process as well as giving lots of ideas on how to make our vases unique. Would thoroughly recommend!

We had an amazing wheel throwing lesson with Bex, who was very friendly, patient, and showed us exactly what we needed to do. We each made a couple of pots and they all turned out much better than expected. The garden studio itself was great and fitted us all comfortably. Can thoroughly recommend and would love to go back for more!

We had a great private lesson with Bex. She was really patient with us and even though we are complete novices we managed to throw some lovely pots. I would recommend throw to fire to anyone! Thanks for a great lesson Bex!

Throw to Fire
I had a half hour taster with Bex today as part of the Artist Open Houses and it was amazing. Such a beautiful studio and really great instruction. It was so much fun to make a little pot from scratch with just the right balance of guidance and experimentation. Really looking forward to seeing how it turns out once its fired and glazed and would love to come back for another lesson.
