I booked an appointment and thought it was at 11am but I double checked on the NHS app, and it said my appointment was booked for 4pm. I assumed I must have been wrong about the appointment time and I waited until 4pm but apparently I was correct with the 11am time. And then the receptionist blamed me for it and said sometimes they're not able to put the correct time on the app. And I was supposed to just know that?? She was acting like I was really stupid but their booking system is clearly flawed. My GP was meant to phone me back to book another appointment but she never did.Rude, incompetent staff. Plus you always have to wait in a long queue to speak to anyone.

I've been trying to get an appointment with my GP for months now. Everytime I call they won't give me an appointment because there full for the day and won't give appointments for the following days either. So it's impossible to get an appointment here.I can't go anywhere else to be seen because it's not urgent care and now my problem has gotten so much worse that I cannot even work without being very uncomfortable. Will be transferring doctors surgery's as soon as I've finished this review.

If i could give less i honestly would. Shambles of a surgery. They lie to you and when their caught on they pass you from person to person and if you think you’ll go higher up and get a response from someone that will not be a lie, your absolutely mistaken. The higher up you go, the more disrespectful they become. No such thing as understanding, transparency or being honest & we’re supposed to trust these people with our health? AVOID at all costs especially if you value your health.

Absolutely shocking experienceI had severe hand injury’s and the male receptionist refused to aid me to fill out a 12 page form his manager agreed with him and when another member of staff offered to help she was told in a aggressive manner not to help meAs I walked out the male receptionist said “cheers” is a degrading and sarcastic toneI felt 1 mm tallThe NHS is a complete joke when it is represented by individuals like thisNext point of call will be my local MPAs you can see fromThe response from the surgery manager they have no regards to patient care or quality of serviceThe poor attitude clearly comes fromThe management teamI have emailed my local MP

Make an appointment and plan into your own schedule is impossible. Make an appointment is like lottery, you have to try 10+ time at 8:00 morning to get in the que of 20+. It takes 20 minutes on average to get to receptionists who probably can't empathise based on reason for your call. Once you get thru it, you have got something like an assessment appointment on the phone with GP. That is the case when everything went as I described. If you call later 8:05, there will be no appointments.I would give 5 stars to most of GP visited in the past. It is the booking system and their own rules which kill the reputation of this health centre. In the past, GP could give you follow-up appointments so you don't have to go thru all your issues all over again, which can be very uncomfortable. It was also possible to plan and keep updated your employer about your upcoming appointmentBut GP were told they can't do that anymore. Instead, I have been told to try to ask when booking, to have an appointment with the GP, which is impossible. Also they informed me on Monday the GP is in Thursday, but on the day they told you, firstly, the GP is fully booked and few seconds later they change it saying the GP is not fully booked but they on different duty (visiting patients etc.) In a case where you need a GP, which you find comfortable to speak and same time they are able to explain what is going on and what will be next step in treatment this is extremely frustrating! As you don't know when they are going to call, you just need to carry on with your day. So you get the call when it is inappropriate and uncomfortable to talk about it due to the environment. The GP understood this and would recommend follow up face to face appointment, but they can't do anything about it.

This practice is awful and I'm not exaggerating. No matter what time of the day you call, there always is a huge waiting time for an answer and you're usually in a very long queue. The receptionist whoever answers the phone seems like they're guessing when you ask questions.I recently asked them if they had received a form, which the GP needs to complete, which was sent to them 4 weeks ago, they said they only received it on the 17th of April and will get processed shortly. I have received the form & it was filled out by the GP (signed and dated) on 6th of April!! - and the form has been completed incorrectly by the GP! - absolutely ridiculous. If the GP is that careless (GP Amanda Lewis) then there's not much hope for anyoneBest advice is join another practice

Derby Road has been my GP practice for over 25 years and it has been excellent, but being aware of a lot of adverse comments in the media about GP practices in general I was a little concerned when I rang to make an appointment with the physiotherapist. There were 11 people in the queue before me but they seemed to be being dealt with at about 1 a minute, which I find very impressive given that some of the calls must be fairly complex. My appointment is in 3 working days, which is excellent - far better than I thought it would be and I doubt I could have seen a private physio any quicker.I’m very impressed and cannot fault the service I received.12 October 2023Another visit to Derby Road and they continue to impress me. OK, I had to wait about 18 minutes on the phone but the calls waiting went down quite fast. Ten minutes after speaking to a very helpful member of reception staff I was phoned back and was examined at the surgery 45 minutes after that. On the phone and at the surgery I was dealt with professionally, efficiently and with care. I really couldn’t ask for or expect more.

Great doctors. Horrendous reception and pharmacist. The nhs pharmacist that operates within the surgery as a form of prescription regulation that is, as opposed to the boots pharmacy next door.

Last time, when I ordered my repeat prescription online the GP did not approve it and send me a message asking me to see a GP. I stayed for 3 weeks without medication till I got an appointment with the GP.Now I was supposed to have a blood test on 28/02/2023, to be started on a new medication. On 27/02/2023 I was contacted to be told my appointment has been cancelled. I was able to make another one in two weeks time which is today, 15/03/2023, to my surprise wgen I woke up I found an sms, sent at 8:45, saying it is cancelled. Now I am calking the reception. It's been 34 mins and I am in queue position 5.This is the new system they introduced to pass their problems to the patient. It is frustrating..
