Once again a perfect Christmas meal with our group from Naomi House Winchester shop. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. A great atmosphere for our group as we were given the area at the back all to ourselves so much fun was had by all. Thank you to Mark and the staff.....

Had one of the most delicious meals ever! I never expect much from pub grub but I was totally surprised by the quality and taste of the lunch. We had the creamed mushroom on baguette - sounds so simple! Every morsel was delightful!

This is a very nice pub. We've been here a few times. It is sometimes quite quiet, which suits me. There is a good selection of ales. And lots of parking. I've eaten here only once, but the sandwich that I had was really nice.

Fantastic food (gorgeous, light crispy batter on the fish & chips!) and great selection of ales and wines. Staff are absolutely lovely and we had a wonderful evening introducing some friends visiting from out of town to our new local! LOADS of covered outdoor seating as well. Our new pub-pup-in-training gave the place 5 stars as well!*May 2023 Update (because Google asked for it): Food is still *chef's kiss*, staff are still lovely and the roses in the back garden are in bloom and smell fab so definitely recommend wandering around and giving them all a sniff while you're waiting for your food!!

Fantastic choice of lunch venue. From placing a booking to leaving was perfect. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everything we chose to eat was exceptional. Proper country pub home cooking at its best. Even the toilets were a pleasure to visit. Thanks so much for an awesome experience.

If we could give this pub 5 stars plus then we would!! Found this pub on google search whilst on a visit my family. We all decided to give it a go after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, every course perfectly cooked, very flavorsome, and well presented, absolute top compliments to the chef. The service was very good, our food arrived in a timely manner and was served with a smile, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend.........we are definitely going to come back when next in Winchester. Fabulous experience.

Friendly pub with rustic charm and classic home cooked" pub grub. Dog friendly. Mixture of after work drinkers and sit down diners. Decent menu albeit a little over priced. Once order was placed service was very quick. We visited based on previous reviews which I feel are slightly inflated. It's a good pub with good food. Not exceptional or particularly outstanding."

Excellent Sunday roast. Fresh cooked and very tasty. A little different from the usual roast and better for it. Good friendly staff as well. Efficient service and food came quickly as well.

What a find! Wonderful food and great ale and wine selection. Warm and cosy, with equally friendly staff. Will definitely be back next time were in the area.Dog friendlyOnly 6 stops on the bus from the caravan and motorhome campsite, also walkable from there approx 40 mins.
