Harmony Veterinary Care - Holistic Vet & Gentle Home Euthanasia for Dogs and Cats

I unequivocally recommend Alice to anyone worried about the health of their pet. If you’re feeling apprehensive or cynical (my husband was!) about the holistic approach be reassured that Alice brings together the best of both worlds being a classically qualified veterinary surgeon. Oscar, my labradoodle, was very unwell and the only course of action allopathically would have been a major operation on his larynx which carried possible long term side effects. Given Oscar’s age (10) I was really wary about going down this route. I am so glad that I found Alice. She brought with her a wealth of knowledge and over the course of six weeks, treated Oscar holistically, imparting nutritional advice, administering acupuncture, massage, herbal remedies and Vitamin B12 shots. Oscar’s symptoms improved rapidly and he is now able to resume his normal daily activities (his daily walks had been significantly impacted). He continues to go from strength to strength and I cannot thank Alice enough. She is the kindest, most caring person I have ever met and she treated Oscar as if he were her own, with love and compassion. I know that Oscar misses her visits and I am relieved that I have Alice to call upon should the need arise in the future. Thank you Alice, we love you. My only regret is not finding her earlier.

Alice is an amazing loving gentle person who came to our home to put our beloved dog to sleep. Koko was 15 years old & struggling to walk & had arthritis. He had all sorts of meds going on but it was time for him . Alice sat with him talking to him & he didn’t even know he had an injection & he just passed so so peacefully .Koko could not have passed away so gently.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our dog Kaalu. After our vet cancelled our home euthanasia appointment five minutes before it was supposed to happen, we were very shocked and in distress. Dignity Pet Crematorium came to the rescue and recommended Alice. She couldn't be kinder. She did and organised everything for us on the same day. When she arrived, she explained every single step of the process. She was very gentle and let us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our beloved dog. Thank you so very much, Alice. Alice is an amazing vet whose knowledge of traditional and holistic veterinary care go hand in hand. She takes the time to listen and is compassionate and gentle with the animals. I’m very grateful for the service Alice performed for us. It was a very sad experience to have our well loved elderly dog Toby euthanised in our home. Alice came out despite a storm and made Toby very comfortable in his final moments. I’m very grateful he could die at home, where he was very calm and surrounded by loved ones and familiar things. I wish I could give this lovely lady 10/10! She was just so lovely when she came to my lovely 12 year old Boxer. The time had finally come to send her to a better place. She was 12 and went down hill very rapidly. Taking her to a vet wasn’t an option. When Alice came out she directed all her attention on my Bonnie. Talking to her, explaining what she was doing each step of the way. And allowing us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. We were burying her at home in our orchard but I think there is also the option to have your pet cremated too. Thank you again for making a very difficult time so special

Dr Alice is just amazing! Very professional, friendly and efficient.It was the first time I had an holistic consultation for my 2 dogs and 1 cat. I just loved it!First of all it is extremely interesting, I have learned a lot about my pets and what they really need and how they feel, also the food guidance for giving them the best food is priceless and inexistent with a classical vet. Indeed Alice is taking in consideration your dog or cat’s needs. I am already feeding my dogs with raw food but Alice gave me more advices and recommendations on how to give it and which supplement to add to make a perfect healthy balance.Gaia my youngest 18-month old can be overwhelmed in some circumstances so she needs help to relax while my oldest 12-year old is tired and has join pain so she needs more booster. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alice from Harmony Veterinary Care. Our dog Ruby very much disliked going to the vets so we really wanted her final moments to be calm and tranquil and not be a distressing trip in the car to the vets. Alice provided this for Ruby at home, she showed great affection for our Ruby and allowed Ruby to peacefully end her life with the family around her and gently drift off to sleep.
