This place is a little gem of classic music for piano lovers. The house itself is a Grade I listed building which full of characters; there is a big plot of land and garden. From back of the house to look through the garden is a big field which is very therapeutic when you look at itThe owner David and his wife hosting intimate house concerts during the Summer time which the house only opens between June to September.Ensure you visit the website before your visit, they also do house tours if you have time to visit.

national and international heritage with more than meets the eye. House designed by Benjamin Latrobe, architect of porticos of White House and Capitol, Washington DC and the park which was an inspiration for later Repton water features.

Passionate tour conducted by the very knowledgeable David who quite literally sweeps you up in his enthusiasm! It was a bonus to have him play some extremely old musical instruments too. Tea and cake very welcome at the end.

Wonderful old house that's featured in many a TV and cinema production over the years. Quite close to East Grinstead so I've walked there a number of times. Very beautiful gardens.

Very atmospheric. Still very much a work in progress (as are all old buildings). The juxtaposition of the new murals around the grand staircase and the managed decay of the old Dining Room makes this an interesting place to visit.Loss of space due to ongoing remedial/restoration work has meant that some of the musical instruments can't be properly displayed at the moment and I sense that this is a house that has to be continually re-organised to accommodate photo shoots etc. that help pay the bills. It is a very personal project and we were shown round by one of the owner's sons who shared his own experience of living in this unique project.Good luck for the future.
