I almost gave you a negative review... I think I know why. You guys are probably getting bad reviews from the Post office at 7 Hollingbury place in Hollingdean! I suggest you look into it because their service is shockingly bad. They have also hidden themselves with some SEO tricks online probably because they already now how bad they are. When I searched for post office in Hollingdean

I've been to Post Offices all over the world, and this is by far the best I've ever encountered. The gentleman who owns it is a lovely man and Eleanor who works with him is an absolute gem. The shop is well-stocked; the Post Office counter is open on a Sunday - nothing is too much trouble for them. I'd go out of my way to come here - it's a very heartwarming experience. If there were industry awards I would nominate them for charm and friendliness and the excellent service they provide to the community here. First class!

Gentleman behind the counter didn't want to get off his phone call to serve customers as they we were waiting. Was to busy serving on the shop counter and not bothered about the rapidly forming que of people awaiting the post office service. As the qué grew for the post office he continued to prioritise the shop counter rather than the people that had been waiting for far longer at the post office counter. Don't offer the service if you can't be bothered to at least attempt to look like you care about it.

Four of us in the queue for the post office and I was second in line (guy in front had some paperwork to fill in concerning Canada and it was taking some time - not helped by the counter lights being dimmed to save electricity!). Woman in shop had capacity to help clear the queue BUT served the people behind me first???? When I moved to get served she then gets shirty about forming a queue. By this time, more people have entered the post office of which she gives priority to those wanting to shop or having questions!!! If you want people to be civil then start treating your customers fairly. Only wanted a book of stamps and waited 15 minutes to be managed poorly. Never using this post office again.

This is a really reliable, friendly, professional and helpful post office, not to be confused with Blakes in Hollingbury Crescent! It does get a bit crowded sometimes which is testament to its popularity.

Rude staff every time I visit this post office- locked door before their closing time claiming aloud that 'they'd be late home now' and could not have been more ignorant even when I apologised for cutting it fine. Such a shame that the local post office is being run by people that taint the positive and humanistic nature in the fiveways area.Avoid if you want decent customer service, do visit if you want to leave feeling disheartened and upset though!

Nice post office and a really hard working post master. This shop has bent over backwards to continue to offer a wide schedule of opening hours, this not only assists the public but businesses too. No post office is a get rich scheme and despite the slashing of payments it’s great to see a post master continuing to provide that level of good old customer service.I note people’s comments on some of these reviews about friendliness, there’s more to that picture than meets the eye with the older lady in particular, she’s hard working and tries her best. The service is efficient, the small team are friendly, but perhaps direct in some cases. I would def recommend this office as one of the more efficient ones in Brighton, if you fancy trying a bad one, go down the dip just 5 mins walk away

Super rude old woman works here . Only wanted stamps which had been sold to the customer in front of me. Then accused of pushing in even though all the other customers wanted the parcel counter and I made it obvious I would give way to any of them if they wanted the shop counter. Then woman said she wasnt available to serve me. Horrible behavior.

Good opening hours and the guy who works in the shop section is really nice (he deals with parcels sometimes too). I've not been to the dedicated parcel section/spoken to the lady because that part of the shop is usually shut when I get there. Shame you can't do label-less returns here and have to go to the Royal Mail office on North road.

I like this post office and the people who run it. They have always been polite and helpful to me, sometimes going well out of their way to help out. I have a pretty good idea why they are getting slated here by a few though. I've seen the woman who works there give at least as good as she got from entitled people.. ..
