Fourpaws canine hydrotherapy

Was recommended hydrotherapy by the surgeon after my Havanese had surgery for luxating patella and a torn cruciate ligament. Over 3 months Ant built up my dog's strength and manoeuvrability and made a huge difference to the recovery process. Ant's attention to detail, rapport with the dog (and me) gave me confidence in my dog's recovery...I would strongly recommend Ant's services.

Our labrador has had problems with arthritis for the past two and a half years. We took him to Fourpaws on the recommendation of a neighbour and wish we had discovered it - and Ant - sooner! I cannot praise Ant highly enough for the care and attention he has shown. It has made such a difference to our dog's quality of life.

I can’t give Ant enough credit. My dog, Sam, went to him after his second elbow implant and the difference was amazing. Sam then needed spinal surgery and continued with Ant as soon as he was able to. He goes weekly and it’s made such a difference to his life! He’s enjoying his walks again and has a spring in his step! You can tell when he’s missed a session and how happy he is to go back. Ant is wonderful - he truly cares about the dogs and the dogs adore him!

Ant was very good with my over anxious jackapoo who doesn’t like water, Ant was very patient with her and the hydrotherapy sorted out her muscle pain in her back leg and is now back to full strength.Highly recommend Fourpaws.

Ant at Four Paws has been so kind and helpful to our whippet Ruby after she suffered a spinal stroke. He was so patient with her in the early days when she flatly refused to walk on the treadmill for six weeks. He just kept calmly trying everything he could until she relented and she now loves her weekly sessions.I highly recommend Four Paws as it is always spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Ant is also super knowledgable and because he is so cheerful, her treadmill sessions are always fun.

I was referred to Ant by my vet as my mad spaniel, Harry, was suffering with arthritis and back pain. Ant was so patient with my reactive boy and Harry took to him and the underwater treadmill really well. The treatment has helped so much with the pain and Harry has returned to his old active self. Since taking our Lab to Ant, we have noticed a vast improvementwithin three weeks of treadmill work. On the fourth week, she jumped into the boot of the car which she hasn't done for nearly two years. Our Lab suffers from elbow dysplasia, arthritis and cruciate ligament issues. I would thoroughly recommend Four Paws Canine Hydrotherapy. Ant certainly knows his stuff and is very attentive to nervous dogs. Our Lab has been to a hydro pool before and hated it, but she actually runs into the hydro treadmill with Ant. Could be that I am the other end with treats to make her walk LOL, but she dosen't shake, or pant with fear as she did with a hydro pool. I think the atmosphere is so relaxed at Four Paws, it has a knock on effect.

Ant was really helpful from the first phone call to the last hydrotherapy session. Our sausage dog doesn’t always like other people but Ant has such a kind nature he liked him straight away. Our sessions on the treadmill helped to strengthen our dogs back but Ant was also kind enough to let us know when he felt frank had completed his therapy to the best of his ability. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ant to anyone else :)

Lulu, my blue whippet, snapped her carpal ligament twice and now has a rod in her leg, so badly needed to strengthen muscles and learn to re-use her leg. I was referred by the vet to Ant at Fourpaws in Holt and we arranged a weekly hydrotherapy, which worked perfectly as its just around the corner from home. Ant was endlessly helpful and got Lulu going on the underwater treadmill, and within a couple of sessions she had improved tremendously - though being a whippet, she hated the water and complained at every step. A good supply of treats provided incentive, but she saw Ant as a friendly face and behaved herself throughout. I cannot recommend this facility and Ant himself highly enough. Brilliant.

We had our dog enrol for hydro after she had cruciate ligament surgery. Ant was so easy and comfortable to deal with right from the initial call, and is genuinely interested and invested in the dogs he works with and their well-being. Our dog isn’t super keen on water (unless it’s in the form of muddy puddles!) so we were concerned that the treadmill hydro might be a challenge- but with Ant’s calm demeanour and encouragement she was walking on her first treatment, and we felt completely at ease. We had to travel an hour each way to get to Ant, as there aren’t many hydros in East Anglia with a treadmill that are NARCH accredited, but it has 110% been worth the trip to get our little dog strengthened and happy and well (and when there is the added bonus of the Pigs in Edgefield nearby for doggy treats and good food, it’s been worth the trip!). I will be keeping Ant’s info to hand and would not hesitate to strongly recommend him and the services he offers to anyone.
