The Lovat Hotel
One of the weirdest hotels I've ever been in. Not sure the history of this place but it seems like a mashup of different cuisines and cultures. Staff seem friendly enough. The room was standard. Clean enough but visually jarring. There is no coherence throughout the hotel, from the staffs outfits, to the decor, to the food. This hotel needs a complete retrofit and a good clean. There are neon lights and cables everywhere. It looks very tacky and cheap. Rooms aren't very soundproofed - you could hear every door close in the morning. Rooms are also too hot. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast selection was poor and greasy. What was available didn't taste great.

Absolutely amazing staff. Room was ready an hour before check in and they let us go in early. On site bar and restaurant with speedy service great for a short or long stay. With pre modern but clean and tidy decor. Just not many shops around. But a Co-op with in walking distance. Would recommend

Let's see... The Lovat Hotel made my hall-of-fame list for many reasons. We were lucky enough to be granted the honeymoon suite. The room was enormous, tidy, beautiful, with really nice view, and the decoration was simply amazing, thanks to our favourite Sarah's touch. An exceptional personality with great taste, was really helpful and always available. The bar offers a great variety of drinks and there is also an 8-ball pool, where one may relax. All the above, combined with jazz music and our friend from Sri Lanka who had the night shift, made it quite an experience. We would also like to thank our morning Scottish-Spaniard friend. Everything was beyond our expectations and, should we find ourselves in the vicinity of Perth, we will come back for an even greater experience!!!

The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp .The carpets are in need of a good professional clean. In some areas, they have shrunk or worn through on the stairs. Some of the carpets in the rooms we had have been replaced but need a good clean. The room I was in the overflow pipe from the roof was dripping all the time I was there and felt like I was being tortured. With the water running down the external unfinished painted walls, this was migrating into my room, allowing mould to form at the side of the window. The peach tiles didn't match the floor or the back splash of the toilet. The bed was really low to the floor. But comfy. I must admit the beds were clean. The food menu isn't great unless you like chicken in different varieties. Oh, and pizza . There is the option of side fries, ect, so be prepared to walk into Perth, which would take about 20 mins.To be fair, we were dreading breakfast, but that was a good cooked breakfast. The coffee was good also.

Had to change rooms twice. In the first room the hot water wasn't working. In the second room the electric shower wasn't working. Eventually they gave us a really nice twin room. Apart from that the breakfast was good and the large bar was tastefully done up in an Anerican theme. Generally positive experience as they gave us another room

I was unsure about staying here, but the staff made it much more welcoming and were so friendly. Location is not far at all from the town to walk. Plenty parking. Room was basic and in need of some paint and a deep clean but was clean enough and had everything we needed.

This hotel is quite far from town but it is very easy to get to town via a car or public transport very quickly (and it's only around a 25-minute walk too)I haven't stayed in the hotel but we used their function room for an event. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Giving us kids' equipment to keep them entertained and the food provided was quite nice. The space was large, and it would be a good party location for groups 50-80
