Buzz Off Honey Bee

Called Louise on a Saturday morning, with my suspicion of a honey bee nest in my wall cavity. It was her (rare) day off, but in an hour she was with me to confirm my thoughts. Louise thoroughly explained the process of removing and rehoming the bees and set a date for the work to be done.Louise and Adam quickly and efficiently removed the bees, explaining the fascinating process all the way. Adam did a great job to replace brickwork and fascia board.It was reassuring and a pleasure to deal with such professional and enthusiastic people. I learnt a lot about bees.

Buzz Off humanely removed the bees installed in our roof quickly and efficiently including the return and restoration of that part of the roof that had to be displaced. It was, it appeared to me, an awkward possibly dangerous task that was, however, more than satisfactory in its completion - a proper job well done. Above all, Louise, Adam and Liam proved a happy team who got on with it politely and cheerfully as did the scaffolders whose previous visit made access to the roof space possible. Yesterday we had a very large colony of honey bees removed from a dorma window. Louise, Adam and Liam arrived on site very early and worked tirelessly throughout the day in what was a complex situation having to remove part of the dorma to gain access to the nest. In the ten years we have lived in the old farm cottage we rent near North Walsham, the Franco Belge woodburner and flue we installed has worked really well and kept us snug and warm. It was only when we had the flue swept this year, September 2023, that were we advised there were bees in the flue. Managing agent Brown & co were quickly on the case and within days scaffolding was erected by Sprowston Scaffolding, and today Louise and Adam from Buzz Off Honey bee control arrived to put things right. They were on the job straightaway and within a few hours had vacuumed up an established colony of about 20,000 bees from the chimney and removed a quantity of established brood and honey comb. The chimney was expertly repaired and re-capped to keep the rain and bees out in future. Everything was smoke tested and declared sound. What an excellent, friendly service! We had bees coming and going out of an air brick. Rang Louise and she was very helpful. Suggested, after sending a video to her, that they were scout bees deciding if they wanted to set up a colony in our cavity wall. She said she would be able to come out with a thermal imaging camera and check it out in a couple of days, but they may well fly off in the meantime if they didn't think it was a suitable place to stay. After a couple of days this proved to be the case.Louise was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout.

Louise and Adam removed a swarm of honey bees from our chimney today. Their service was excellent from organising scaffolding, explaining the whole process and to the actual removal of the bees. Photos and videos are taken so you have a complete record of what was done for your guarantee. The chimney needed bricks to be removed and ventilation bricks and mesh put back. Very good repair of the chimney by Adam and everything was cleared away perfectly.
