I was a little apprehensive when entering the Loam Studio but I left feeling very proud of the three pots that I made. Jack was so patient as he led us through every stage to help us develop the finer skills repeating them each time. His pleasant and light hearted approach as an instructor gave me confidence and made it a worthwhile few hours. Thank you Jack!

Jack is brilliant teacher- everyone in our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed the throwing taster session and we all felt we achieved far more than we imagined possible. I can't wait to have another go!

Simply brilliant! Jack was communicative and accommodating when booking the course. He was welcoming (with tea, croissants and delicious fresh fruit!) and I couldn't have gained anything more from this course. It was beyond my expectations. Jack's teaching skills are spot on for the nervous, first timers but as the class is kept small, in his delightful studio, everyone of all abilities were given one-to-one attention.Highly, highly recommend.

Thank you for a wonderful introduction to throwing on the wheel. Loam is a lovely welcoming environment and Jack is a brilliant teacher. Everything was explained so clearly and Jack was always on hand when disaster was looming! I'm looking forward to coming back to Loam for a longer course

The courses at Loam studios are first class! Jack, as well as being a highly skilled potter, is a really good teacher. He imparts his knowledge freely and is always ready to help his students. It's such a relaxed atmosphere, you'll wonder where the time went!!

Jack's studio is absolutely stunning. It is spacious, aesthetically pleasing and has the most lovely, calming atmosphere. Jack is truly an incredible teacher and I consider his weekly pottery classes the favourite part of my week. If you've ever even slightly dabbled with the idea of giving pottery a go, I would 1000% recommend!

Last week was the first 4 days of the 5 day course (the last being a glazing day in July) and it was absolutely phenomenal. Jack is a fantastic teacher and extremely patient - something he needed an abundance of when teaching me! A great introduction to pottery and I shall certainly be back to do another course in the future.

I absolutely loved this course. This course was done at the pace of the slowest in the group and everyone was given ample attention. Jack was so patient and informative. If you get a chance to go on this course, do it! You will love it.

Fantastic afternoon!!! Bought as a Christmas gift for my mum who also had a great first time on a potters wheel! Perfect beginners taster session for anyone who would like a go, Jack was a great tutor! Looking forward to seeing the fired results :)

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at loam studios. I took my Mum to a taster course where Jack showed us how to throw a pot and bowl. Jack was so friendly and helpful and really made the experience enjoyable and was a fantastic teacher. At the end of the session we each had 3 pottery pieces finished (I had in my mind we would only be able to make one, so this was a lovely surprise). I know am itching to get back on the potters wheel!Thank you so much Jack.
