The produce is amazing! We visit the area every year and last year I felt really uncomfortable in the shop and thought the hostility was because of my English accent, however we really enjoyed the burgers so I ventured back in to the shop this year to stock the freezer with the burgers and found myself faced down with the same miserable and hostile man… after reading other reviews I’m pleased to see it’s not just me who gets treated this way. I’m still giving 5 stars because the produce is so good.

Fantastic wee butchers shop . Well stocked and very reasonably priced ,we always buy some produce when we're over to take back home with us.

Spent just under £50. We always pay more for quality wether at home or on holiday. I can honestly say that I will eat sawdust before I ever set foot in that shop for food again. What a horrible, rude and humourless man we had the misfortune to be served by. Not a greeting upon entering, blunt replies to product queries etc. We are just glad that having read other reviews we are not alone in expecting better and being disappointed. What money we have is gained from long hours and hard work so it will not be going into that business again.

Meat and fish fruit we purchased were excellent. Went back fir more fruit at later date. Just ate the sausages and they were fab, had the chicken a couple of nights ago and again nice big breast. Did not think it was expensive fir a good quality butcher. Must admit though we had a wee laugh at the gruff man who served us. Welcoming he was not. Lol x

Amazing butchers, had everything we needed at good prices. Super helpful, even went out of their way to get us an ice pack for our long drive with our meat.

Brilliant selection of local produce (Meat, Game, Seafood, Fruit and Veg) at very reasonable prices. Service was friendly and helpful.

People couldn’t have been nicer…. But the food amazing was looking on Google to see if they had a website that I could order from as 250 miles is a long way.But if any on one it in the area please go spend some money in here you will not be disappointed. Next time I’m close I will be making a detour to get some meat and smoked fish.
