Norwich FarmShare

Such an amazing project which results in amazing veg to feed us throughout the week ! It has also introduced us to veg we might otherwise not have tried and love them now. And it's all local and chemical free! Cannot recommend it enough :)

In the wilds of Whitlingham (past the Flint Barn), this brave organic farm grows a variety of crops and members can buy weekly or fortnightly bags of what is available. They also need volunteers if you have time on your hands.

Amazingly delicious produce bursting with freshness! We look forward to our share every week and plan all our food around it - the veg is the star of the plate. We get the large share which is plenty for 2 eating a plant based diet - we no longer need tasteless and plastic-packed supermarket veg. Lots of variety and a very reasonable price. The hub is a lovely place to meet like the minded community.

I have been part of FarmShare and involved at times as a volunteer since it started. It is an essential project that each town needs to source locally grown, plastic free, chemical free produces, grown with love. Knowing where my veg comes from makes a huge difference to me.

This is a wonderful organisation. I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve attended and got so much out of the experience. The produce is delicious as well!

I got involved recently as a volunteer on a very sporadic basis (I don't live in the area), but the team and other volunteer members are all so welcoming I felt at home instantly. Great to see small scale, pesticide-free, genuine organic food being farmed locally for local sale (and delicious kale btw guys!)

I'm always excited to pick up my veg bag and see what I've got to cook with that week. The food is so fresh and tasty. Knowing it's chemical free make such a difference. It also means that as I don't buy veg from the supermarket, I can walk to do a weekly shop as there's so much less to carry.

Sustainable , local and lovely. I have volunteered here - it is such a good experience, for my daughters too to see. Good food, grown locally by a great team of people including volunteers. We should all be supporting them.

Farmshare is an amazing and unique asset to Norwich. It’s the perfect way to get great weekly fresh, seasonal and organic veggies. If you’re thinking about supporting this - go for it. Joining up means you know exactly where you’re vegetables come from. In a world where food seems to bounce around from country to country, process to process, person to person - from being picked, transported, packaged, processed etc - so for me it’s appealing to know pretty much exactly who plucked your food freshly from the soil and how and where it was grown. If you are wondering how you can make an immediate positive impact to reduce your environmental impact, this is a great way to go.

I've been feeding my family with delicious chemical free vegetables for the last 7 years with FarmShare. It's a lovely project which seems to bring out the best in people, reduces the amount of plastic food packaging our household is using and also reduces our food miles. We volunteer as a family which has helped the children to learn about where their food comes from and I am sure has made them happier to try different vegetables. Lots of FarmShare love here! :)
