Vision Express Opticians - Ipswich

Had no complaints. Walked in a booked an appointment for the next day, was seen by a very professional optician. Recieved results and chose the glasses I needed and spoke to a salesman about my options.

I came to Vision Express for the first time, bringing with me a problem I had had with another opticians. I cannot speak highly enough of the help I received. All staff were patient, helpful - all with a smile. They are to be congratulated.

with registration is a tragedy. you sign up, get approved, a few days later they cancel the app. I have been appalled by this registration for some time now.As a mother, I have already changed to specsaver, now it remains for my son to change as well.

Really impressed with the overall service at Vision Express. Optometrist was extremely thorough and very professional and explained everything in detail. Optician assistant also very helpful and made me comfortable to try various frames which can be a slightly awkward process. The new payment option is a great way of making glasses more affordable by spreading the cost, can’t fault the service.

Jo and Tom gave excellent customer service. They were both friendly and knowledgeable and did not hesitate to answer the questions I had. I have been using the Tavern Street store for 20 years now and hope to keep using it for another 20 at least. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was told 5 to 10 days to replace a damaged lens on glasses originally purchased from Vision Express. After two weeks and no update from the shop I phoned them, I was on hold for 15 minutes until I was eventually told there was a problem with getting a new lens and it would be at least another week. This is the second time I have used used vision express, the first time there was a 'problem' and they failed to meet their stated '5 to 10' day delivery, I should have learnt from that and I didn't.I wont make the mistake again. I now have to wait for them to return the glasses so I can take to a professional and more reliable opticians!UPDATE - Its now over a month and it appears nobody knows where the glasses are, assumed LOST., Apparently the Ipswich store manager is not authorised to refund the money I have paid for the repair or to cover the replacement cost for new glasses. I phoned customer services but no manager available to discuss, what a surprise!
