We cannot praise Ballard and Shortall enough for arranging the funeral of my late brother. I approached the company with a lot of apprehension as I'd never had to arrange a funeral before, let alone one for the woman I loved, my wife. The whole experience was calm and very professional, I was treated with the utmost care and compassion, which I needed as I was understandably in a very poor emotional state. The date for the Crematorium was fixed and in due course the Ceremony took place. The whole event was very well planned and I was included in all of the decisions on the day.I can't commend Ballard and Shortall too highly, they were everything I hoped they would be. I would highly recommend Ballard & Shortall, Horley, to anyone who is in need of funeral services. Sadly, my aunt passed away last year and Ballard & Shortall looked after all the arrangements, which we could not fault. Fortunately, we had used them previously and had purchased a funeral plan, which made everything so easy when the time came - the only hard part was choosing the coffin itself and we were not disappointed! Kevin and his team (Nicola & Yvette) were so organised and professional, but also so kind, which is what you need most when you lose a loved one. There are so many things to think of, especially on the day itself and Kevin gently guided us through each step, making sure everything went smoothly. We also used them to arrange the updating of the existing headstone. All in all, the service is second to none and we were very happy, Thank you for looking after us so well.

The passing of my mother has probably been the hardest experience of my life and also being the person to make all the arrangements for her, made it even worse. My Dad had heard of the reputation of Ballard & Shortall and requested I contact them with the arrangements and as soon as I made the call with them, I knew that I was in good hands. The whole team, including Kevin, Nicola and Lisa, had dealt with the arrangements with sensitivity and dignity and I cannot fault them. The provided advice and listened to our requests to ensure the service would have been exactly what Mum would have wanted, and a difficult day was made a celebration of her life. I would also like to express our thanks to Andy Strivens, the Celebrant on the day, who was warm and wrote a lovely Eulogy based on our inputs. I would whole heartedly recommend Ballard & Shortall.

Ballard & Shortall organized a funeral for us and must be congratulated on their professionalism and their ability to ease everyone through what is a daunting procedure. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Second time we have used B&S in Horley and the service is immaculate. The care, compassion, communication and commitment is outstanding. Kevin, Lisa and Nicola were very kind throughout the whole process and always respond to emails or any questions. They are all understanding and genuinely care.
