Good location around the fab monumental areas. The staff are the most friendly people I must have met. The main auditorium is well lit, has multiple access stairs. The atmosphere within is very professional and academic.

This is the second time we have attended an event here. This was a charity dinner previously a wedding. The venue is sumptuous and steeped in history. The library, used as a reception room is straight out of your favourite novel, whether thats Agatha Christie, of Harry Potter with carved spiral staircases to the gallery and secret rooms! The main hall is stunning built in 1841 with amazing ceilings carvings and marble columns. An amazing and impressive venue.

Absolutely stunning building. Wonderful rooms full of charm & history ... simply impeccable. Would welcome the opportunity to visit again.

Fantastic place for a party! Love the grandeur but it also seems really relaxed. I never knew this place existed right in the middle of Edinburgh and hope to come again.

Attended a fabulous birthday party here...it is such a beautiful venue. The different rooms allow for the possibility of each guest having a unique experience. Enjoyed dancing the night away in the main hall, but equally lovely was being able to escape into the calm of the library where you could chat and relax...a chill out room with a difference (I could imagine spending many happy hours browsing there in a different situation).If I'd known about the venue before, it would definitely have been on our wedding venue shortlist.

A beautiful, historic venue with multiple rooms, all of which are stunning. I particularly loved the library! This has to be one of Edinburgh''s best kept secrets and the perfect place for a party or wedding.

Got married here, fabulous to have the whole place for the day, the rooms are so grand and there’s such a different feel in each one. Easily accommodated our 125 guests. College was fantastically helpful and made the day very easy for us and weRe generous with the time and flexibility for set up and clear up.

Absolutely stunning venue, one of my brides just got married there on Saturday, the 2nd of December.The rooms are spacious, she had a whole apartment for herself and family plus guests and there was lots of room to get all their hair done, 2 Makeup artist in another room lots of space to get everyone ready.The venue itself is beautiful, with it being close to Christmas it was even more stunning.The bride did not have to leave the building, you can go right from the room, through lovely corridors, right to the room in the photos.You would never realise from the front of the hotel at how big it was inside.
