In August 2022, Mr Akhtar performed a successful ACL reconstruction on my Knee. In what was a stressful situation for myself, I was instantly put at ease after he talked me through the process. I knew i was in very capable hands. He is a very professional and passionate surgeon who provided me with much needed reassurance throughout my surgery and rehabilitation.

I’ve had few appointments with Dr Kash this 2023 year in the Cleveland Clinic, London, and I am very grateful to him.My hiking mate has recommended me Dr Kash in September ( said that this doctor is a ‘pro’: ))I came with the knee pain but the doctor was very thorough, arranged 2 different scans and we learnt that I have a serious issue in my hip (that is the main cause of the knee pain). He referred me to a wonderful hip orthopaedic surgeon and to a great physiotherapist, and though I’ll have to go through a surgery, it is going to be all done on time (precisely because it was address on time) and I know am in really good hands.Thank you so much for your professionalism, Dr Kash (and for being so adamant about me seeing the physio - there is a lot of work to be done to strengthen those hip muscles to help a fast post surgery recovery ;)))P.S. There is one small detail: doctor made an effort to write down the correct pronunciation of my name (‘and made all the other doctors aware of it) and this gentle gesture actually makes a difference; feels like, apart from being a great professional, Dr Kash actually cares about people : )Thank you very much Dr Kash.Anya

I went to see Kash after I hurt my knee training. The diagnosis was a torn meniscus, Kash very diligently explained the issue and we discussed the options. I opted to try physio and rehab first, but unfortunately that was not successful.I returned to see Kash and we both agreed surgery was now the best option. Kash walked me through the whole procedure so that I was fully aware of the process and 7 weeks ago I had the procedure. The surgery was a great success and I’m 95% recovered and training 4 times a week, albeit not at full power yet, but almost. On my first follow up consultation after the surgery, Kash showed me the video of procedure and explained everything that was undertaken.I would highly recommend Kash, he is an excellent surgeon, friendly, approachable and an expert in his field.

We were recommended this amazing surgeon by my husband’s cardiologist. He had an ACL rupture and a bucket meniscus. Due to his heart condition we were turned way by numerous orthopods who weren’t comfortable to reconstruct the acl and repair the meniscus. Kash came along and did the best possible job! This surgeon is magic, he has a bloody brilliant bed side manner. My husband had a 101 questions and Kash answered every question he was open and honest and told us what to expect. My husbands recovery has been brilliant he is walking again after 4 months. I would recommend this surgeon to everyone he has a passion that is very rare to come across he genuinely cares and he is number 1 -thank you so much

I met Kash to discuss pain caused by meniscus tears in both knees. Having given physiotherapy a chance, we jointly concluded that surgery was the right thing to do. Kash explained everything in layman’s terms, and expertly conducted a successful operation. I was really pleasantly surprised by the aftercare and his responsiveness to all my questions. He also has a network of great physios and as a keen sportsman, I am on track to be back doing what I love 3 months post op. Kash is an expert in his field who genuinely cares about his patients. At no point did he push surgery and allowed me every chance to try alternatives. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone who is serious about their health and enjoys sports.

I had quite severe knee pain for a number of months caused by a torn meniscus plus some arthritis. Mr Akhtar explained all the options and recommended that I try more conservative options before considering surgery. I started with a combination of injections and physio and I have now been pain free for 3 months. I couldn’t be happier with both the clarity of explanation and the outcome. I would 100% recommend Mr Akhtar if you have knee problems.

Kash has been fantastic. I saw him in November when I couldn’t straighten my knee and I was unable to return to sport. He helped me with surgery and recovery so that I am now able to return to running and soon back into rugby. In a few weeks time my knee will strong enough to return to playing international rugby. I’m very grateful for and happy with Kash’s help and would recommend him to anyone with knee problems.

Kash has been nothing short of a superstar these last few months. He has taken every step to reassure me of the issues at hand, but also the steps forward to recovery and sorting my knee for good! He’s a very professional and personable consultant, who I would recommend to everyone. I owe him a lot, and can’t thank him enough!

Having no experience of such matters myself, the sports physiotherapist that was treating me had no hesitation in recommending that I should see Mr Akhtar. And, I am glad that he did.I found Kash to be friendly, a nice to have, and straightforward, a must have for me. After discussing my symptoms, I was promptly sent for several scans. Kash shared the results with me, and translated them into layman's terms. I saw Kash a few times so that the performance of the knee could be monitored - it was not a 'snap' diagnosis.Consequently, I am reassured that I now have a good and realistic understanding of what I can expect from my knee as I age.I have now had my last consultation, and felt that the treatment was appropriate, although Kash did lament that I would not be experiencing his skill as a surgeon.
