Baltinna West is a comfortable, well equipped cabin ideally situated to visit the Cairngorms. My wife and I spent a relaxing few days and wished we had stayed longer. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to visit. Thank you Dianne and Rod

Luxurious accommodation with the utmost attention to detail, with everything thought of and catered for, by the excellent hosts, Dianne and Rod. Just the perfect location for exploring the great Scottish outdoors or simply staying in and enjoying the roaring fire. Looking forward to returning soon.

Thank you to Dianne & Rod for a wonderful stay at Baltinna West! The cottage is beautiful, lovely personal touches throughout in the decor , so well equipped with everything you could possibly need and such a comfortable accommodation. We know the area well from previous visits to Aviemore. We were lucky to experience some winter’s snow and enjoyed some lovely walks from the cottage. They even left doggy biscuits for our dogs! Highly recommend and we will certainly return to this or one of the other accommodations they have in Newtonmore. Thank you!

A lovely one bedroom chalet tucked away in Newtonmore making it a perfect base for exploring the fauna (and flora) of this part of Speyside.PS If you are planning to stay here, don't forget to feed our fat pigeon!

I cannot recommend this brilliant little place highly enough. Dianne and Rod have thought of everything from the layout, to the little extra touches to the info. It is all incredible. Honestly the best self catering spot I’ve stayed in. I loved it so much I moved to The Bakehouse (also owned by Dianne and Rod) afterwards. I was walking and Newtonmore is the best spot for so many munros - both locally and a little drive away.

Superb 1 bedroomed lodge near the centre of Newtonmore. Very well equipped and everything worked perfectly, including the Wi-Fi which was an impressive 70MBPS. The owners have really thought of everything and their communication was excellent. We booked last minute (lucky to get availability) and got a good discount too - highly recommended.

We LOVED our stay at Baltinna West!! The house itself is pretty and cosy, it had everything we needed for our 2 week stay with our dog. He loved the little enclosed garden to sunbathe, eat his snack and roll around in the grass after our walks. The bed was really good and the bathtub with great views is a big plus of this house.The area of the house is also great. The Cairngorms are just as high as the Highlands to the west, but less intimidating and with way less other tourists. This made Newtonmore the ultimate relaxing place to come back to after a hike. We did some great hikes in the area: a shorter one to the actual" Pattack Falls

My family and dog stayed at Baltinna West and really enjoyed the accommodation. The lodge was clean, cute, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and we made good use of the bathtub. The location was also very lovely as we explored the Wildcat trail and the cairngorms for the week. We primarily cooked at the lodge and found everything we needed to make our meals (other than the food, of course). I would happily return for another stay.
