It gives me great pleasure to express what a wonderful experience it was to be in such a happy, inclusive and rewarding atmosphere with like minded people, striving to create works of art, which I had limited knowledge of before I started with Art Academy East. Claire is a fantastic tutor and she makes it easy to follow her instructional tutorials in all mediums. I completed the Level 2 diploma in 2020 and I’m very much looking forward to Art Academy East’s next course starting in September.

I absolutely love learning painting at the Art Academy East! I finished level 2 at the Art Academy East and it give me great knowledge which I am expanding on in my art now.Recently I attended short studio courses Coastal scene painting and Portrature and found them great way to continue studying painting.I love that there is choice of themes for short courses.I can choose topics I am interested and study them in studio.Paint along short clases at AAE is my favourite as they are guided and explained by professional teachers.I have learned very much from AAE.Thank you for excellent teaching Art!

Just completed the Beginners Portraiture course at Art Academy East and it was so enjoyable. I’ve learned some new skills and the atmosphere is relaxed and helpful. Will definitely be looking to join more courses at the academy.

I've just completed a 3 week watercolour florals course and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were taken through some basic techniques then taught how to apply them to our paintings. The tutor was brilliant - very knowledgeable and made everything easy to follow. The atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed - I will definitely be back to do another course.

I recently completed the How to paint contemporary coastal scenes in Acrylic which I absolutely loved. I hadn’t used acrylics before but the teaching was fantastic. Classes are really relaxed and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend Art Academy East

Having just completed a short leisure course in painting at the wonderful Art Academy East I am already looking forward to my next class. I would highly recommend this relaxed and friendly art school with its light and airy studios and excellent tuition.

After attending a one off session at AAE I was overwhelmed with how at ease and happy I felt in the studio. So much so I signed up for the Level 2 Diploma course. Claire and her team delivered the most engaging and inspiring course and I now have three sketchbooks bursting with work that I'm really proud of and a Level 2 Diploma Distinction! I would highly recommend Art Academy East for all levels and abilities.

I stumbled upon Art Academy East by accident and was shocked that more people don’t know about this fantastic art school. The level of support and encouragement given when I did my level 2 was second to none. The relaxed friendly atmosphere really made it a lovely place to be - a studio of dreams! Sadly covid struck and took it all away from me but I know I want to go back. Claire is so friendly and knowledgeable alongside all the other staff there. I went from not ever painting to painting photo realism in a matter of months! Try it - you won’t regret it!
