We came here for a late breakfast today after reading all the great reviews and hoping we'd finally found a decent place in the cafe desert that is Banbury. The location is lovely, the staff are friendly and polite and the coffee was OK (we got cortados which weren't quite cortados and came with a small pot of cold milk) but unfortunately, our experience wasn't great when it came to the food.I ordered the avocado on sourdough toast. I like a pinch of chili in my avocado but this had so much chilli in it that it dominated the whole dish and was actually unbearable to the point that I left half of it. And the sourdough wasn't really toasted at all; I nearly flipped the whole plate into the canal by trying to cut it.My partner was similarly unimpressed with her choice of granola with coconut yoghurt. Having been slightly confused by the lady behind the counter asking her what sort of milk she wanted with the granola, it did then arrive with coconut yoghurt but there was such a small amount of yoghurt that, in my partner's words, it was like eating granola that had been kept somewhere damp". Ironically

Lovely location, friendly staff and very tasty food. With such a wide selection of vegan dishes, it took a while to decide but settled on an all day breakfast and I don't regret a thing! Also took some lemon cake home, although it did not last the journey home!

It’s not just the fabulous location that makes me return to this little lovely cafe. The foods are homemade. The refreshments reasonably priced. The service first class. The atmosphere warm and friendly. It’s spotlessly clean.I particularly like their ethos too. That’s what makes me return. Plus their hot chocolate is beyond delicious.Highly recommended

From the canal path and into hearth of comfort, baked foods and quality brunch dishes....and may sell on-premise baked sourdough loaves in future too.

I'm new to the area and found this lovely place whilst walking down the canal. Excellent coffee, I can't recommend enough...and I've moved here from London, so I know good coffee! Wonderful friendly staff, loyalty card and the nicest piece of lemon cake EVER! What more do you need from a cafe?! Will definitely be visiting again and will hopefully try more food!

Our family members have been regulars here since it opened. We aren't vegan but the food here is so good that we never feel like we miss animal based dishes at all. It also helps to have several friendly faces by now among the staff, who remember some of our preferences, adding a personal touch that makes customers feel like they want to keep coming back. The children's play corner is lovely too, so important for us parents to be able to have a nice cuppa in peace! I love that there are books to read too (not just for kids), and the toys are quality wooden ones not cheap plastic. The chalkboard is a great addition. The food is slightly more expensive than other local alternatives, but it's made from quality ingredients, tastes great, is healthy, and you're supporting a local family who owns it rather than faceless corporate chains so I don't mind treating ourselves when we can.

Popped in here for a coffee while on a dog walk, great coffee and a lovey atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try the food in the future as it seems like a lovely place

Great vegan cake. Thank you. Delicious looking menu. Friendly service, but speed of service a little below par on my first visit.
