Small well run center, downside only open 4 days a week, always closed the day you want to go.web still shows winter hours. This was spring.

Really helpful staff offering advice and support with what can be recycled and where it needs to go. Friendly and approachable, especially given how busy this place is and the fact that there are only two members of staff.

Wanted to recycle my old white electrical sockets that I had replaced for more modern chrome ones. Took them to West Mersea RECYCLING Centre rather than throw them in the bin. I was told they looked like commercial waste as there were an A4 bag full. Had to explain the situation before being told to put them in the electrical cage but with a comment from a member of staff that it was obviously commercial waste.Please Colchester Council do not tell your staff to call customers a liar just because they have more than 1 item. I was trying to do the right thing by recycling and it does say recycling centre on the site doors.
