Lindley Wood Reservoir

Fallen tree partly blocking the reservoir path and sections of standing water. The path is certainly now unsuitable for push chairs or mobility scooters!

A pleasant walk with wildlife and views and fairly peaceful. The woodland path is fairly accessible and you can walk right to the far end past the dam, through more wooded terrain until you get to the Grade 2 listed bridge. Only the first part is pram etc friendly. If you hanger right over the bridge, there is a short and very steep climb up via the road. The public footpath then picks up again on the righthand side for a short way. This route proffers good views over the woods opposite and over the reservoir. It's only a short off road section, before a stile takes you back onto the road. There are other footpaths in the vicinity, a good walking area.

A cold & misty day. Walked up into the farm lands about 3 hrs. Then drove over to Fewston Reservoir for an hours stroll. All very easy to enjoy. Best on a clearer day, which we have been so lucky to have had. No tea rooms open. I rather enjoy a latte & also to help keep our economy ticking over.

A lovely walk, not an easy circular walk, because the path isn't clearly laid on the far side. You need to follow the road rather than the path by the fishing point.

A fantastic area and even just wonderful to drive through and see the vistas surrounding you. Visited first a few weeks back - came back during a dark sky expedition for a brief stop off. A few informal car park spaces to perch on by the bridge (side of the road) and on the road approach to it. Peaceful area to spend time at.

I love walking in this area, it is always very quiet and so peaceful! A true hidden gem, the views are great and I hardly see anyone when I am here. There are lots of cool locations to stumble across.

A good walk

Great walk but signage not great and ended up going the wrong way!I recommend parking at the village hall and walking a bit down the road - don’t go through the first style - it’s the one after that.Make sure you don’t go the wrong way- it’s easy to do that !I hope the signage is made clearer and that there is maybe a map every so often to show you where you are and which route to take .

It’s the first time I’ve been here. I really enjoyed the walk and the views were really lovely. I would come back here again
