Superb - I’ve longed to be free of needing power lenses for distance vision after 23 years and Allon has now made this my reality. Now in the recovery phase but already amazed at my new vision. I was very nervous in the days leading up to the procedure, but no question or concern is too much trouble. I was kept calm during the procedure and had a glowing report from OCL’s optician the following day. I feel reassured knowing I will be looked after by the OCL team through out the recovery phase and beyond. All the OCL staff I dealt with during the procedure were very kind. I would throughly recommend OCL and Allon for the SmartSight procedure. If you’re eligible for Smile instead of LASIK, get it done here - only place in the UK that offers this most advanced corrective treatment for myopia.

I can't recommend Allon Barsam enough. He was recommended by my optician and I was fitted in very quickly for a consultation where I first met Allon. He made me feel at ease and free to ask any questions. I had my surgery a few weeks afterwards and again felt as relaxed as I could be. The surgery itself was painless and my recovery time was incredible. By the following day I had perfect vision and no problems at all. I spoke to several of his team before and after the surgery and all my queries were answered quickly by his very helpful colleagues! Look no further!!

I could not recommend Allon Barsam and his team highly enough. I have lived with a -9.5 prescription in both eyes for many years. I had treatment 6 weeks ago and have been enjoying better than 20:20 vision since. I couldn't be happier.Pros of going with Allon Barsam:1) His secretary Joanne is extremely friendly, professional and efficient so the admin side of things was very clear, quick and straightforward2) Pricing was very transparent and I thought very good value for money.3) The healthcare professionals (optometrists and nurses) that work with Allon Barsam are all really nice and made me feel valued and cared for4) Allon himself explained the procedure and its risks and benefits really clearly. He made me feel valued as a patient and was very reassuring throughout the consultations and procedure.5) The Focus clinic used for the procedure in London was easy to get to and everything seemed to be of a very high standard.6) After the procedure the healing process was as expected and the feeling of having clear vision is indescribable. The optometrist said after two weeks that she could barely even see it had been done, because Mr Barsam's work is just so good. To get such a great outcome with such a high prescription is fantastic.Cons: none really! Night driving was a little less comfortable than expected at first because of the halo effect around cars headlights, but it is a lot better already. Just something to consider if you need to drive a lot at night.

I'm usually not particularly keen on getting medical treatments of any kind. Mr Barsam and all the staff have been amazingly efficient, competent and made me feel comfortable enough to go ahead with the lasik surgery.Best decision I have ever taken! My experience has been very smooth and with brilliant results.I wish there was more sensibility around the topic. This is still considered to be a cosmetic surgery but having to wear glasses or contact lenses all the time for so many years, especially in specific work environments, is actually an handicap. Hopefully the surgery will become more accessible in the near future and the government more supportive.

I decided to go with Allon Barsam after reading many reviews online and learning about his expertise on youtube. He seemed to have vast knowledge on what he did and was well known for it too.When i made contact online i was responded to swiftly and professionally. I had my first consultation which was very thorough. All possible procedures were discussed based on my eye problem. I have a scar on my right eye which i wanted to sort out somehow but Mr Allon Barsam and the other staff who discussed with me were very honest about how it wouldn't be worth paying over 6k for a procedure which would be both risky and not come out 100%. (If they wanted they could have said yes lets go ahead just for the money which they didnt.)So I was recommended to simply correct the vision in my left eye which made more sense.All my questions were answered. I wasnt pressured into anything and was given the choice to book a later date for surgery to go ahead.When booking, staff were great in trying to accommodate the best day and time for me based on what was available. In terms of payment again they were accomodating in allowing me to pay in installments after paying one lump sum as deposit.On the day of surgery I must admit i was really nervous but the staff really helped me stay calm.The actual surgery really didnt take long. My eyes were numbed and then everything took place. Because Allon Barsam kept talking to me, it kept me distracted from what was taking place as i was getting nervous. This really helped.So my eye was numbed so i literally didn't feel anything. Only some discomfort if that. Bless the surgeons with Mr Allon Barsam, they had given me stress balls to clench on to aswel to calm me down and they let me keep them too lol. Souvenir lol.The surgery was over in like 5 mins and when I opened my eyes i could see properly. It was amazing. I was like wow that was easy. After the surgery i was sent in a dim room to relax for about 20 mins. That helped. And then my eyes were checked again and some drops put in.On the way home unfortunately i was in a lot of pain. It felt like something was stuck in my eye and i was tearing non stop. I rang about 8pm and was surprised that someone answered so late. The person on the other line took my name and number down and said someone would get back to me soon.Sure enough when i had gotten home i had missed a call and a voicemail was left for me. Mr Allon Barsam had called explaining to put certain drops into my eye which would make the pain go away.By the way what i was experiencing was completely normal and i was supposed to have used that certain drop. By 10pm in the night the same pain started and i woke up in agony from my sleep. I texted the number to ask if I could call and upon receiving a yes reply i called straight away. Mr Allon Barsam answered straight away, and listened and again helped explain how to take the drops. Thankfully after taking the drops the way he described i was fine.I just want to say that this incident was so heart warming for me that he took my call so late in the night while i was in so much agony. It really meant a lot to me that there is so much care and concern for their patients even if its late at night.I have to say everything is very professional and organised. There is a check up the next day after surgery, then one a week later and then one i think 6 weeks later. These are booked in advance. Everything was sent to me via email and through the post.There are drops that need to be taken. So an app has been created to remind you when to take your drops. This app is amazing and reminds me each time when to take which drops. Spectacular!The actual place in london where surgery was done is very classy i must add.I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Allon Barsam and all his team for all of their help.Everyone was so professional, caring, kind and considerate.Its the small things that matter too sometimes and OCL has it all. You guys are the best. I will definitely recommend you to others. =)

I had laser eye treatment to correct both short and long sightedness. The procedure was astonishingly quick & painless. I now have 20:20 vision at the age of 56 and cannot recommend Mr Barsam and his clinics highly enough.

Four weeks ago I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The care and treatment I received from Allon Barsam and his team was exceptional. I was anxious about the surgery, how it would affect my capacity to work, and the recovery time. My fears were allayed and understood, and I trusted in Allon Barsam's excellence as a surgeon - which was well founded. There was no pain or discomfort during or after the surgery, and within 4 days I returned to teach and present a day long workshop - reading my notes, facilitating a group and presenting a slide deck on a projected screen - something I doubted was possible! I now have perfect vision, no cataracts and, for the first time since early childhood, I do not need glasses or contact lenses. I cannot recommend Allon Barsam highly enough or, thank him enough, for the excellent care, and skill I received from him in seeing me through this procedure.

I was initially very apprehensive about getting laser eye surgery but after wearing glasses and contact lenses for years I decided to get it done. I initially booked to see Optical Express as they were the only ones that I was familiar with however my optician recommended Mr Barsam so I decided to send them an email on their website.The team responded very quickly and were very friendly and helpful. From the minute I set foot in the door they were friendly and professional and helped to reassure me as I was very nervous! Mr Barsam was absolutely fantastic, he listened to the problems that I had been having with my contacts and he took my eye prescription 3 times just to make sure that it was accurate. He completely reassured me about the whole procedure and also listened to any questions that I had.The process was amazing from start to finish. I wish that I had done it sooner and hadn't been so nervous! Whilst laser eye surgery is expensive, in the long run it is cheaper than buying glasses and contact lenses. Mr Barsam was slightly more expensive that Optical Express but after having the pleasure of surgery with his company I would never go anywhere else. He took a great amount of time and care and properly assessed my eyes.If you are considering laser eye surgery I would say that the only place you should consider getting it done is with Allon Barsam. Your eyes are too important to do cheaply and the process was so amazing here. My contact lenses used to irritate me and now I have perfect vision!!!Getting this done was one of the best decisions that I have ever made and I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you Allon!I was apprehensive with getting lasik surgery as I had read some horror stories online, however, Consultants of London and Mr Allon Barsam have been excellent from the start. From the first consultation through to the surgery the whole team kept be informed and answered all my questions giving me full confidence. Allon reassured me throughout the surgery and it was a quick and painless procedure! I had lasik on Thursday afternoon and woke up on Friday with slightly better than 20/20 vision, its a dream come true! Absolutely excellent and Would highly recommend. Thank you Allon Barsam!

Last week I had my laser eye surgery with Allon Barsam. He was amazing! The whole experience was so easy. Allon Barsam is incredibly professional and I trusted him completely. He spoke to me the whole way through the procedure to make me feel calm and at ease and the before and after care was also excellent. The results have been life changing.
