Damien Hey Dance Academy

As a mature lady I wanted a dance class that I would feel welcome and not out of place. Damien dance academy provided the right environment and much more. I have made new friends but most of all improved my dancing ability with the help of Damien and Sam I feel more confident in my self and my dancing. I am pleased to say we are back dancing with strict covid measures in place. So now I have my own box to dance in and Damien jokes are as bad. Everyone will be welcomed singles or couples. 5 stars deserved.

Our daughter has been dancing at DHDA since Oct 2019, having not danced competitively for 4 years. Now 15 years old, she is dancing 2-3 times a week in both group and private lessons and improving weekly, and has been winning and thrilled to be placed in many competitions. Thank you Sam & Damien for your commitment and passion in her training - the the genuine enjoyment you generate.

Excellent and friendly teachers - nothing too much trouble. Their patient, supportive and attentive approach ensures all lessons are very productive but also fun and enjoyable for everyone involved.Our children look forward to every session whether private lessons, general classes or practise night.We can not recommend this dance school enough!

My two girls have been with Damien Hey Dance Academy for six months, and we couldn’t be happier. Both Damien and Sam always go above and beyond to make sure all of their students achieve what they are capable of, but more importantly provide a nurturing environment that their kids feel happy in and are made to feel part of the DHDA family as soon as they walk through the door for the first time! They are fully invested from day one!Both girls already having danced for a number of years at a different school, we made the move to DHDA and the incredible progress they have both made absolutely makes the 490 mile round trip for lessons worth it! They come home enthusiastic and excited for the next one.I cannot thank Damien and Sam enough for all they do!If I could give more than five stars on here I would!

Fabulous dance school! our kids love their private lessons and classes here. Very attentive and patient teachers, they make everything really enjoyable. Would highly recommend this school to anyone wishing to learn how to dance like the strictly stars :)

Before attending DHDA my daughter had been to a few different dance classes with other schools and never really stuck at them or she got bored easily but since attending this school she's never looked back. She loves the classes every week and the teachers are fantastic with her and all the other children in her class.My 3 year old has recently started joining in the classes also and he loves it just as much as his sister does.Can not fault them in any way at all and I would highly recommend.

My 16 year old daughter and her friend joined just before the lockdown. While they had previously danced they had never tried ballroom, so it was all new to them. What is so wonderful is how welcoming and encompassing this dance school is, Damien and Samantha are enthusiastic, inspiring, professional teachers. The girls absolutely loved the classes and the great atmosphere at Stockport and then signed up for more classes at Bredbury. Classes went on zoom and have been brilliant over lockdown but they can’t wait to get back in the studio. Thank you for all you have done to keep them dancing it is greatly appreciated.

I just want to say how amazing all the teachers at Damien heys dance academy our that work long hours and still give there all at teaching all different children through to adults to get the best dancers . U might think your getting a better teachers else wear but u won’t get all the time effort and commitment of these guys thank you soo much Dhda your the best xx

My daughter started just before lockdown. The teachers so supportive and encouraging. She loves the classes both on zoom and in studio (when allowed). I would recommend them to anyone considering Latin & Ballroom for their child. Nothing is too much trouble.
