Belstane Log Cabin

Belstane Cabin is in an idyllic location, surrounded by fields and total tranquility. There is nobody within quarter of a mile of the cabin, meaning it is a wonderfully quiet retreat. It is exceptionally well equipped and wants for absolutely nothing. It is warm and cozy, with excellent heating and a gas stove to boot, with tons of hot water on demand. The views from all of the windows is nothing short of stunning and there is a patio terrace to enjoy the outdoors, when the climate permits. We enjoyed our stay very much, with the owners making us feel extremely welcome. We do not hesitate to recommend Belstane Cabin and we plan on returning for many more stays there in the future.

My family stayed here for a week, what a beautiful place with lovely owners who couldn't do more to help. Complimentary wine and a welcome card was a nice touch. Pet friendly aswell.Only issue was no internet in the cabin itself.

Had an excellent week in August with the wife, kids & dog in this very well kitted out log cabin & were VERY LUCKY to have great weather.Hosts were fantastic & very knowledgeable about where you can go, what's on & how to get there etc.Cabin is only 10mins drive from Edinburgh which is really good as you are just far enough away in the most peaceful surroundings but close enough to some really good attractionsLook forward to staying there again in the future!!

We spent a week in July in this brand new cosy cottage and were very happy about it. The house is superbly equipped and comfortable. The beds were perfect and the children loved the nature books and games provided. The terrace overlooks the hill which you have to yourself, apart from some sheep, cattle & deer (contrary to the name there is only one cottage)We loved the fact that we stayed in a very tranquil area but yet close enough to Edinburgh, the Pentland Hills with some astonishing walking and cycling trails, coastal villages, Glasgow, ...We would have loved to stay a bit longer and highly recommend the area, the cottage and the attentive and interesting hosts!

It's a lovely log cabin in the middle of a field. Fiona and David were great hosts will definitely go back again.

I can’t recommend Belstane Log Cabins highly enough. This was the perfect, beautiful, peaceful base for our stay in Scotland and Fiona and Dave made us very welcome. The cabin is cosy and beautifully furnished, set in a quiet location with plenty of room for our dogs to explore. The little extra touches, including a bottle of wine and fresh fruit bowl on arrival, were examples of the attention to detail that the owners put into making sure you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. We absolutely loved the cabin and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

This is a lovely cabin with everything you need. It was so nice to go somewhere with all the creature comforts in tranquil surroundings.It was lovely to see the odd deer and we were lucky enough to get within 50m of a buzzard perched on a stump.There are leaflets for days out and we would suggest a visit to 5 sisters zoo which the children loved.Dave & Fi were great hosts and we thoroughly recommend this cabin.
