If you are in search of all of the most relaxing, gorgeous, peaceful and wonderful things that South Devon has to offer, this is the place to call 'home'.Aish Cross Holiday Cottages are exceptionally comfortable, immaculately clean and fully equipped with all the essentials you are likely to need (if they don't have it, just ask!). This jewel is in the perfect location from which to head out and explore the many adventures awaiting you in this uniquely distinctive area of England any time of the year.From a 15 minute ride to the coastal areas of Torbay to the 20 minute drive up onto Dartmoor and all the nooks and crannies (and fantastic pubs!) in-between, you're situated in the ideal spot from which to venture out from January through December!If you want to spend a rainy/chilly day inside, there's a cozy log burner to keep you comfortable with a good book from the cottage's library. Or maybe enjoy the amenities of a complete kitchen if you feel like trying out a new recipe. Or, on any day, just sit with a nice beverage in the conservatory whilst admiring the beautifully landscaped cottage gardens and/or amazing sunrises and sunsets from your southerly facing aspect. Or, stroll across the lane into the adorable, westerly facing garden, complete with its own BBQ pit in the cutest, fairy-like, 'hobbit' house that you've ever seen!The Stable is certainly perfect for couples wanting to get away from it all. Two double bedrooms upstairs (both furnished with built-in wardrobes as well as dressing tables) and a bathroom on each floor makes it also ideal for a family of 4 (with or without well behaved, 4 legged members). If there are more of you, 2 other cottages, The Coach House and The Hayloft, are also available for whatever will make your holiday one to remember.Situated on top of the green hills above the quaint village of Stoke Gabriel, between Torquay and Dartmouth, striking out to Plymouth or Exeter, or anywhere else - whether it be the rustically beautiful county of Cornwall (in search of Poldark, maybe?), the North Devon beaches and Exmoor or east to Dorset's Jurassic coast - it's only a matter of an easy day trip.We absolutely adore coming back to The Stable year after year and whether it's spending time out in the backyard orchard watching the wildlife or just a friendly 'hello' from Mike, Angie, Dawn, Charlie, Graham, Pippa or Kate, we feel like this is truly our second home and you will too!

Cottages are great, very spacious, well kept and well stocked. Great location with Paignton only 2 miles away. Huge garden, great for the kids. TVs and games around the house, very quiet and peaceful. Recommended and will return. We stayed in The Coach House"."

We had the most wonderful 6 days at Aish Cross. The coach house has been beautifully renovated to a superb standard. It was clean, well decorated and presented with all facilities. We were very impressed with the bedrooms and ensuites and the living area was really pleasant and plenty of room for 6 of us. We had 2 great evenings using the splendid BBQ hut, again super facilities and decorated with fairy lights. The garden, orchard and views especially over the alpacas in the field next door were stunning.We would happily recommend this great venue as a base to explore Devon.

This was our 7th stay at Aish Cross Holiday Cottages in 6 years and once again we couldn't have asked for more - we try hard to look at other places to stay in the area but come back to the same decision every time. Mike, Angela and Dawn are excellent hosts and have always made us feel very welcome. They go out of their way to make our stay as pleasurable as it can be.Our preferred cottage is the Stable although we have also stayed in the Hayloft - all of them are the 5-star standard they claim to be. Our girls (6 & 12) love playing in the orchard, the swings and the trampoline and always make a beeline for the cats - our eldest is convinced she's trained them to recognise her!As for location, we have found it perfect for visiting all the popular destinations - Brixham, Dartmouth, Paignton, Salcombe, Stoke Gabriel and Torquay and we are still finding new places to go to.We would recommend Aish Cross Holiday Cottages to anyone considering staying there. You won't be disappointed.

Only been here two days, and ready to give my 5 star rating. The owners are amazing, the grounds are to die for. Heaven on earth! Can wait for our next visit….
