Foot of the Downs

We have just returned home from a lovely weekend staying at Foot of the downs in their glamping pods and shepherd’s hut. The accommodation was clean and very well presented (particularly the shepherd’s hut) and the location was beautiful. We were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We also re-charged our electric vehicle overnight which made our travels much more relaxed knowing that we didn’t have to search for somewhere to charge whilst out in the daytime. I would not hesitate to recommend Foot of The Downs to my friends and family.

We loved our stay.Beautiful location, very quiet and get for stargazing !The accommodation had everything needed to make our stay perfect.Slept all night both evenings and the bbq/breakfast pack was excellent quality produce which tasted amazing.Thank you very much and we will definitely come again soon.

A belated review of our stay in July. Beautiful compact eco cabin in a lovely secluded location. Very well equipped with friendly and helpful owners. The perfect place to unwind!

Spent a wonderful few days at the foot of the downs to unwind and celebrate a birthday. Staying in the Lapwing Pod which was spacious and equipped with everything we needed, along with some nice complementary touches. Beautiful evenings cooking on the firepit and enjoying the stars. Beautiful and relaxing setting, with great walks up and along the south downs. Will be back !

We stayed for two nights in the lovely wonderful lapwing Pod as a Family of four and Our Lab Mix dog. All the communication upfront was easy and very friendly and helpful. We booked a fire pit Pack and BBQ and also a Continental breakfast, which awaited us already in the lovely Pod. After the open fire and BBQ we enjoyed an amazing shower in the en suite bathroom. On a Bonus Note, we could also Charge Our car. Absolutely calming lovely place.

Recently stayed in Lapwing pod with family (children used the sofabed). Best way to 'camp' - comfy bed, great shower, handy to have oven/fridge/kettle provided. Loved the 'hobbit hole' pod, especially opening up the doors to get a great view of the Downs. Very peaceful setting. Had a couple of queries, which Angela answered quickly. Eating breakfast outside was good and it was especially nice of an evening, sitting round the firepit and watching the stars. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fabulous weekend. Amazing accommodation located at the epicentre of multiple walks and close to local pubs. The pod itself was in outstanding condition and everything you could wish for for a comfortable weekend in the countryside. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.
