Absolutely fantastic customer service, staff are always friendly and helpful. Van was serviced a month before MOT, giving enough time to remedy any problems. Great advice was given on everything that needed doing, which meant plenty of time to prepare for costs getting it through the MOT. Worked out much cheaper than expected, so all in all very satisfied. I have been coming here for years and would highly recommend.

Our family has used Byres Road Garage in Glasgow for over a decade and we continue to be wowed by the service levels, the friendliness and personalised-professionalism of the team.I recommend them to anyone (and everyone) in the relatively near vicinity; not once have I felt I've been taken for a ride. They're fair, efficient and do an excellent job.

When I turned my car on to drive it home from the garage, a warning light was on, so I went back in and asked them to check the diagnostic. The mechanic looked, said it was nothing to do with the work that he did so it's nothing to do with him. I told him that it wasn't on before I took the car to the garage though. He said there's nothing I can do to help you. I have just been to another garage to look over the diagnostic again, and the mechanic had left two wires unplugged. That was it, it was a 2 minute job, if that, and the mechanic at Byres Road garage couldn't even be bothered to do that or to even check the engine for me. Just left feeling like I was an annoyance rather than a paying customer.

Extremely good honest service from Byres Road Garage, in particular Marie and Rory. They initially replaced a worn ball joint which they did quickly and at a reasonable price. They also identified that my steering rack was faulty, and recommended that I take the car back to the dealer to fix under warranty, they didn't charge me for the time spent diagnosing the faulty steering rack which was very generous. I've been nothing but impressed with Byres Road Garage and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Called with my car breaking down on the side of the road, they took my info and I dropped the car off minutes later. The reception were efficient and reassuring. Got a call back same day with the problem, which sadly was more trouble than it was worth. When I went to clear my car up before scrapping it, I found my cd cases (old fashioned, I know) either broken/snapped loose and the cd’s outside of their cases in the door side pocket. I appreciate the curiosity in peoples taste in music but I wished they were a bit more careful.

(Originally a 3 star review)Called a few days ago to get a quote for a full service without the spark plugs. Was told it was going to be 240£. Booked in for today. When I picked up the car I was given a 300£ bill. Paid since I thought it I remembered the price wrong. Checked the receipt later to find out they changed the spark plugs, something that I CLEARLY stated it didn't need to be changed when I booked my car in. Brilliant. First and last time I'm using their services.EDIT:Marie at the reception messaged me a few times to try to and rectify the mistake. In the end the garage refunded me the price of the spark plugs and then some. Thank you. I appreciate it.
