Alta Costura Bride - Bridal shop Kent

My first experience of wedding dress shopping was at Alta Costura back in February. I came across them at a wedding fair last November and they had a beautiful black dress on display! (Black is the colour I usually wear and everyone expects me to get married in a black dress but I was determined it was the one day I shall wear white / ivory!)At the wedding fair I made an appointment with AC to visit in February, where I tried on a few dresses in different styles, including the black one!Although I didn't find my dress at AC (If I was wearing black I would have got that dress without a doubt! Haha) I found my first dress shopping experience to be great there and far better than experiences I had later at other places! The staff are lovely too! I may go back to search for accessories now I have my dress.

I had a great shopping experience at Alta Costura, I eventually chose my dress after visiting a few different shops, but came back to then say yes to the dress! Everything was great until I went to see my actual dress. Considering the sample fitted like a glove; I was extremely disappointed when I tried my actual dress on. It had been ordered at least 3 sizes bigger which supposedly matched my measurements. Unfortunately the dress hung off me and I left the shop holding back the tears.I went to a different seamstress, who had to take 6-7 inches off my waist for the dress to actually fit. I hadn't lost a single pound from the day I tried the sample to taking my dress home. My seamstress did what she could to make the dress perfect but the neckline was just impossible to make fit how it should have done. Such a shame as it totally ruined my magical moment when I should have felt like a princess.

I had a lovely experience at Alta. This was my first time trying on dresses and my consultant Joanne was extremely helpful. I didn't end up getting my dress from there but I would totally recommend. They have gorgeous dresses and the team are very friendly.

I had such a great experience at this shop. An excellent selection of different sizes and styles to try on. Staff member made me feel comfortable whilst trying on wedding dresses.This was the first wedding dress shop I visited and managed to find the dress in just the one visit here.

Every girl dreams of her wedding day, I for one loved the idea of dressing up like a princess and marrying my Prince Charming. From the moment I walked in it was magical and I felt so emotional my dreams were coming true. I was made to feel so welcome, I had an idea of a dress I saw on the website so I tried that on and about 3 more and I actually fell in love with a different one i surprised myself and chose a blush dress. I felt on top of the world. The young lady brown hair helping me knew her stuff (sorry I forgot your name) she suggested a belt and my word it took that dress from 10 to an 11 definitely worth it. Also bought a stunning veil. Dress was an excellent price as well. Waited about 5 months for the dress which was normal and had my alterations appointment and was met by the friendliest lady (short dark hair) she was honestly so wonderful a real credit to your business just like the young lady who helped me find a dress so praise to them! My wedding day was so magical my dress got so many compliments and I felt so confident, comfortable and beautiful! Thank you so much Alta and team
