The Learning Loft

Over the last four years, my son has received tutoring from Lynne Bostock at The Learning Loft. Lynne stepped into my son’s life at a moment when he could have lost confidence in his English skills. She has helped him grow in confidence and has tailored his weekly sessions to be stimulating, supportive and appropriately challenging.Lynne was also able to carry out a dyslexia assessment which meant that my son had the extra help at school as he prepared for his year 6 SATS. My son has loved coming to see Lynne which is a miracle as English is not his favourite subject! Lynne is exceptional at what she does. She is fantastic at putting pupils at ease and has such a comprehensive understanding of dyslexia that has helped our family immensely.My son now has the confidence to take the skills he has learnt at The Learning Loft and put them into practice independently at secondary school.We as a family are deeply grateful to Lynne. She was a lighthouse in a moment where we needed educational help and guidance. I have recommended her to many families and will continue to spread the word!

I would highly recommend the learning loft. The specialist teacher is qualified , experienced, conscientious, has an exceptionally warm manner and a flexible approach to teaching. My son was provided with a personalised programme which was appropriate for his learning style and level of development, in a relaxed and stimulating environment. Here he was able to learn at his own pace and ask question, which was something he was reluctant to do within his classroom; he was supported to deepen his knowledge base of the English curriculum subject and learn strategies that supported him through his GCSE.

I have recently had a dyslexia assessment at The Learning Loft to apply for DSA funding for which I was successful. This is all thanks to Lynne Bostock who is amazing at her job, she was professional and kind which put me at ease when taking the tests. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone.
