Mike Long Gardens

We are absolutely delighted with Mike’s work and the result gets admired and commented on by many visitors. We asked Mike to design us a “”patio” but were blown away with the outstanding Terrace design, more than we ever imagined. He was a lovely person to work with, and he also worked harmoniously with the builders to ensure a first class result. We are now engaging Mike on further projects. I cannot speak highly enough of him.

Mike Long is a wonderful designer who has experience beyond his years.He carefully assessed what we envisaged, surveyed the garden, and came back with a detailed plan. We then discussed and modified this plan, which then got firmed up over the next few months with additional matters such as lighting, exact planting, and then tendering. Mike ran the tendering process, including meeting constructors with us and then explaining the tenders. He then supervised elements of the garden rebuilding process.He always kept us informed, always answered our questions, was able to always give alternatives, and was a pleasure to deal with.The end result of his plans has completely transformed our garden in ways we just could not have imagined, and is wonderful.Thoroughly recommended.

Mike provided a very professional and efficient service. He came with a lot creative ideas, worked with us on various design concepts and delivered beyond our expectations.

Mike is knowledgable and professional. He was able to guide us through our ideas and put them into scaled designs, showing us samples of paving and planting as we went through the process. With the design finalised we will continue to use him as project manager throughout our project.

We were really pleased with Mike's plans for our garden and now that they have been realised we are just looking forward to seeing how it all develops over the next few months.

We had just moved into a new build with no landscaping. I got in touch with Mike and asked him to design an outdoor space that feels like an extension to the house, another room as it were. However, we needed it to fit naturally with the surroundings. And Mike delivered in abundance. The design was spot on and look amazing already, I cannot wait to see it once it's matured. Mike also accommodated for our ideas and needs. However, he also pushed us where we needed it.It was a great experience and would recommend to anyone that needs help designing the garden of their dreams.

I had a very ordinary small courtyard that was in dire need of an update, so got in touch with Mike. He took time to listen to what I wanted to use the space for, and to my various likes and dislikes. He came up with a great concept and was able to advise on contractors to carry out the work. Even though I have yet to do any planting, it has transformed my courtyard (see 'before' and 'after' pictures) and I am delighted with it! I can highly recommend Mike.

We have worked with Mike over the past 10 months to design our dream garden incorporating a kitchen style garden area, outdoor eating and working design alongside our architect. Mike has been professional, patient (I changed my mind a few times!!) and creative at the same time, listening to our changing thoughts as they evolved and never pushing something we did not want but at the same time challenging our thinking. The end result which starts construction this coming week is everything and more than we could have imagined. Amazing to work with and comes highly recommended from both of us.
