Avondale Nursery

An amazing nursery and a really good find. There's lots of the more unusual plants and the library garden is absolutely inspiring. I came away with two plants and lots of ideas. The staff are really helpful and very knowledgeable. I'll certainly be going back for more plants as often as I can. An added bonus is the cafe nearby on the same site where you can get some lovely, reasonably priced food and beverages. We had cakes which were homemade and absolutely delicious.

Congratulations on setting up this nursery with lots of interesting perennials. Gary, the owner was very helpful advising us as to the best plants for a dry, shady section of my garden. Very reasonable prices. We enjoyed wandering around the library garden. Lots of lovely plants to enjoy in a garden setting. I will be back

The best perennial nursery in the midlands. Outstanding range competively priced. Can I pick up on review that described Brian as rude. He isn’t. He has probably forgotten more about plants than many of us will ever know and quite likely doesn’t suffer fools gladly.

I visited the nursery in late April and could see there is a variety of plants they have. More importantly, there are reasonable prices for the plants I saw.Also, the lady there was very helpful and quickly found what I was looking for and was able to provide advice on plants.The nursery is towards the end of that road when you take a turn from the main road - make sure you follow the directions as it has a smaller parking area a bit further of the main big parking area.I will definitely be back there again.

Avondale have a great selection of plants. I highly recommend them, we pretty much only buy our plants from here how. Most garden centres sell mass produced nursery plants. Avondale grow their own and have many varieties of each species of plant.

Fantastic nursery for gardeners, staff are knowledgeable and friendly to be honest there's not many garden centres left that have this kind of choice and expertise. Plants are well looked after.

I love this place it has got a great atmosphere and none of that boring commercial feel ~There is a lovely pond as you drive in beautifully planted up and curious arty planting ideas like a rusty old tractor or digger I think full of plants. When you go into the garden centre there are also a number of display pots and whole planted areas to inspire you. There is a great selection of interesting plants many are home produced I believe. The cafe food service is also lovely. The owners are usually around for a friendly chat. It is just good old fashioned atmosphere and service and a pleasure to visit. Oh and the prices are far more reasonable than large more commercialised chains of boring garden centres.

Absolutely amazing plant nursery!! Large variety of well looked after plants and a small cafe that oozes charm and serves some amazing cakes! The grounds behind the nursery are also stunning and a great place for a short walk. The resident peacocks are also stunning!! Best plant nursery I've had the pleasure of visiting.

Visited Avondale nursery today, my what a lovely selection of perennials, the lady was very informative about the plants,realy pleased with this nursery ,will definitely be going again,avondale nursery is situated next to two other garden centres, which are on the same site .

Only visited Avondale today yet have been to Russell's a number of times.An excellent choice of very good quality plants are at this small nursery and will certainly be visiting again for the excellent choice of perennials.The garden behind the nursery is well worth a visit. Top marks from me.
