Ordered one of Beacon Down's rent-a-vine packages as a retirement present for a colleague at work (on the recommendation of a friend who was given one and said their visit was brilliant and the wine delicious) and it was a fantastic service. Very prompt (even though they were on holiday when I ordered). All comes with lovely packaging and card, with Gift message included.Would definitely order from them again.

A fabulous setting run and owned by fabulous people. Their real passion for wine making comes over loud and clear. We had a great tour, tasting and picnic whilst sat in the sun looking at the South Downs. Idyllic.

We had a vineyard tour and tasting as well as an incredible picnic lunch. Highly recommend a visit! The views are amazing, the tour is informative and interesting, and the Bacchus wine is an absolute must. We will be back for another visit!

We spent a lovely few hours at Beacon Vineyard....Paul was very interesting, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and we learnt a lot about various grape varieties and tasted some superb wines.Al provided a delicious picnic of locally sourced products, and we came away with some of the wines we had tasted.Would definitely recommend a visit.

I've been on quite a few vineyard tours but I learned more about viticulture in the 2 hours I was at Beacon Down than all of them rolled into 1. Paul is clearly hugely passionate about the vineyard, the craft and their product. A stunning setting and really delicious wine, well deserving of the many awards they've received. Highly recommend you visit!!

My husband and I had an excellent vine yard tour and picnic at Beacon Down. The tour was interesting, learning how the grapes are grown and the amount of work it takes to produce the end result. The picnic was delicious and prepared by the hosts.Thoroughly recommend the tour and picnic and also the wine.An amazing find, practically on our door step.Thank you Paul and Alice.

It's a really nice location and it's fabulous to see a young family having a go at starting and running a business. You can't help but admire Paul and Alison for their enthusiasm and knowledge. They are a very pleasant couple and more than happy to chat to you about their vineyard and background.Personally I think the preamble before the walking tour was a just a bit too long. I think I would have preferred the same talk but given at various locations on the vineyard rather than all at the start as it was all a bit too much to take in. I was getting too hot sitting there and the seats are only comfortable for a few minutes rather than 25 but then again I am getting on a bit!Regarding the vineyard tour itself, the ground is quite steep and slightly uneven so you need sensible shoes or walking boots. Also on hot days take a bottle of water as none is provided at the start and there's little shade obviously as it's a vineyard so suncream and a hat or sun umbrella would be sensible to bring with you.The talk and tour lasts about 80 minutes and then you get a chance to sample the wine which is very good and certainly much better than some of the stuff the super markets sell. We thought the sparking white was absolutely fabulous. Personally I felt that they could have done a bit more marketing at this point and perhaps a special offer if you bought a case or a discount if you bought 4 bottles or at least something. Really a missed opportunity I thought. I didn't see many people going off with bottles of wine which is normally what happens at the end of a vineyard tour.Anyway it's early days for them and it's only a small business at this point but I reckon they will do really well over time. Certainly well worth a visit and I wish them all the best for success.
