Rural setting, manor hall hotel conversión, Many functions at weekends can be busy. No vegan, no chance of any food other than what's on the menu, no bar snacks, sandwiches nothing as told by restaurant staff. (I've had to eat elsewhere).

We've stayed several times recently and found it very pleasant. The rooms are roomy and the beds extremely comfortable .The food is good but the dinner menu could do with changing now and again.Would definitely recommend.

Really nice course in good condition. The greens were quick and bunkers well placed! The sand was nice and soft, which made it nice to get out of if you were unfortunate enough to fall in! The course is a bit up and downy, but you didn't really notice it, which was good!The bar shut at 5:30 on a Saturday, which is bizarre, we had to go to a local pub for a drink!

It's OK, costs lots of £££ .pool/gym area is good. Breakfast was great value for ££. Evening meal not so first night table booked for 1800 we got our main meal 1910. Second evening meal was a better start but then my rump steak meal wasn't as I asked it to be cooked which I didn't eat in the end only got my drinks taken off the bill

Enjoyed our one nights stay, especially loved gas fire place by the restaurant with two well placed chairs next to, was nice to warm up. Room was very spacious, creaky floorboards.Only cons was that swimming pool wasn't working because of burst pipe and Canadian women football team having a party under our room until midnight.Changing rooms lockers need improving, but over loved hairdryers and even hair straighteners provided. Used spa facilities (sauna and steam rooms, jacuzzi) twice, on the arrival and following day once we checked out. Was lucky not to have busy times while using these facilities

Lovely place to stay for a night or two. Amazing staff, lovely pool and spa facilities and the golf course was very interesting. Food is not bad, but nothing available mid morning when we arrived which is surprising considering we were a party of 30. They missed out by the sum of around £300.

A lovely hotel, the restaurant and bar staff are very friendly and helpful,the food is nice,it's a shame they don't clean the room and change the towels daily when staying there for a couple of days.
