Recently bought a cigar box guitar from Pat. Easy guy to deal with, off loaded lots of great advice being I placed the order. I’d previously looked at a number of other builders but plumped for D&H because the build quality was just so much better. As a gigging artist I needed something that I felt would withstand the rigours of life on the road, I had no hesitation in buying from Pat once I’d handled one of his guitars…now I’ve had it for a couple of months I can truly say that I’m delighted.

Bought the Catfish Po' Boy and am so impressed by the quality of the instrument. This is my first guitar but if you're wondering whether to purchase one I can safely say you will be absolutely delighted.

I first saw these guitars being played on the Coda Tuition YouTube channel. Check it out. They looked good but sounded even better. From there I was directed to D&H. After emailing Pat I bought the black walnut with 2 humbuckers. When I received it (I live in Chicago) and it was delivered within days I was blown away by the quality. And the tone is terrific. That is what I was looking for and what struck me so much in the Coda videos. I have a couple of other cigar box guitars. A couple of DIY - none come even close to the tone of this guitar. As with anything else you get what you pay for. So pleased with this guitar.I edited this to add that I bought a case too so that the international delivery would be safe.

Purchased a black walnut jack from this company after discovering Juzzy Smith and his one man band, featuring a CBG. I was desperate to get the same sound and found this company. Pat was brilliant-lots of support and updates on progress. It arrived last week in solid packaging. It looks beautiful and feels solid and well made-the quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding. Crucially, it sounds incredible-even better than I could have hoped. Massive thanks to Pat for making such a fine instrument. I have a feeling it won’t be my last from them…

Woo what can i say about D&H Guitars . I ordered a 3 string Cat fish Po Boy Cigar Box Guitar and was really impressed with the Craftsmanship and quality that has gone into making this very excellent instrument .Pat Hammett has been very communicational throughout the whole process . I did have a very small issue with the LED light on the Amp that I bought however after a phone call to Pat he helped me sort it out straight away ( Bulb become loose in Transit ) . I highly recommend these guys top quality service and Products … Thanks again Pat . Garry

I’ve just received my second build from Pat. The first being a black jack.This time My only stipulation was that I wanted x2 P90’s and a box similar to the Harlequin Resophonic (another model) and also the timber I would like.The results were OUTSTANDING..If you want quality and playability then this is the man.Products not only look good, but will also improve your playing

Order a custom 3 string cigar box with special pick ups and also asked for a red flashy colour! It sounds amazing and I've been using it for over 3 years now! I will be using it to record the next singles with my band too! Top quality!

Hello cigar box players collectors & enthusiasts from where ever you may be .I traveled all the way from Perth / Australia to personally collect my “Two cigar box guitars “ which from Patrick truly are a guitar far far ahead of anything else his workmanship is a quality that only a luthier could achieve!!!I purchased a resonator and a Diablo and they’re both exceptional “ well done by Patrick!! The resonator wow it truly plays great acoustically. Thanks to the guys I’m a collector of cbg’s and these are a welcome addition for my collection
