I have read through the reviews and totally agree with the 1 star reviews. Please stay clear of beds from this company as the quality is very bad and customer service very contradictory. My special needs child only slept on the bed for one night and the headboard snapped. Contacted retailer and manufacturer back and forth for my refund but keep getting contradictory information. I have now decided to contact the CEO of the retailer in order to see if care for customers ( especially special needs children) really is important as advertised in the media.

Terrible encounter. I ordered furniture items (chest of drawers and bedside tables) from furniture village and asked for this to be assembled same time. The drivers arrived and looked at my staircase which has a turn in it and straight away said this is not possible without attempting to measure the dimensions despite me suggesting that as I had a tape measure to hand. I was very disappointed and then they said they would try unbox the item downstairs which they did and then used the excuse that they would be quite worried to take items up unboxed as they’d risk damaging the items or the wall paint which I said I was not very bothered about as I’m in the process of repainting anyway. I was unhappy and so I called the sales person at furniture village who spoke to the driver and the driver said it is because I had a hand rail at the staircase which would obstruct the process and if it was removed then they would do it, I rushed to get a screwdriver and removed the rail myself which took 5 mins and then the driver said they would not be able to do it as they are late anyway. I am very disappointed as now I’m having to have furniture village arrange another transport team to come over and transport the items when I actually took a day off to get all this sorted today. I am also perplexed as to why this was such an issue when earlier this morning I had a delivery from Dreams for beds and they checked the same site and had no issues with it despite their items being much larger. If the issue is the weight of the product then I suggest the team hired to do this job is so that they have had adequate training to carry out the tasks required from them.

Absolute rubbish company and if I could, I would give them 0 stars. I'm going to trading standards due to the absolute rubbish build and not fit for purpose, stay away from this company.I have already confirmed everything on Trust Pilot and your management have been sent the videos of my bed that has fallen apart. Your company isn't bothered about its customers, your response on Trust Pilot advised that I had to delete names mentioned in my review, you have never tried to contact me to resolve the issue. That's why your business is rated in the lowest 20%.

Bought a Birlea bed frame from Mattressnextday - It took almost 2 weeks to be delivered to me as they delivered it to my next door neighbours and didn't tell me! I then started building the bedframe which also, to add, the instructions are not clear and it is incredibly difficult to build by yourself. I then discovered that they did not send me several parts of equipment so therefore i have not been able to finish building the frame. I have emailed Birlea and Mattressnextday several times, have called both companies, either to be put on hold or finally get through to someone who says we'll get right on it we'll sort this out and get in contact with you asap" - to which they never do and i have to call them up again for them to say the exact same thing. This has been going on for over a week now and there is no sign that this will get sorted anytime soon. The customer service from both companies has been awful and haven't approached this situation with any urgency or empathy at all."

Well I don’t know what to say…. I bought the phoenix ottoman bed for my daughter and let’s say it was interesting to set up. I am very experienced in DIY and I thought it would be easy to set up as it came with everything. Looks are deceiving! The hydraulics gave me a headache and a half, the instructions weren’t correct and neither was the video. Overall it seemed like a good bed, but you need to be determined to face a challenge to build it. Perhaps if the company offered a service where you could have people to help build it at your house it would make it a lot easier….I guess this company is a hit and miss according to other reviews.

Nice furniture but they left the furniture in the middle of the hall blocking my access to kitchen, bathroom and outdoors. I am a disabled person and that service was without considering my access needs.

It was a very bad experience. They could never deliver the frame I ordered. Postponed 3 times, shipped to the wrong address. All they do is apologising over the phone. Which is useless.At the end, once again I acknowledge the greatness of Ikea. For your family peace, stay away from them.

This has to be worst ever shopping experience for me, definitely wouldn't recommend this company, neither their delivery company, both kept on lying and trying to make things up, today tomorrow the day after, so after ordering on 19-11 with promised 3-5 days delivery today is 11-12 I have finally cancelled my order as I didn't see it coming, I ONLY SEE LIES LIES AND ONLY LIES!

We purchased a bed frame 10 months ago and it has already broken. I contacted the store I had purchased it from and they’ve told me they are no longer affiliated with Birlea. However they were kind enough to provide me contact details to deal with them directly. Little did I know that when you email Birlea customer service, you get no response and when you call them, they do not speak to “members of the public.” Instead the voice recorded message says to contact the store you purchased it from directly. Which I’ve done!!! Now I’m stuck with no way to contact them and a broken bed. Definitely regretting this purchase!!!
