My local council had received an objection to my wife teaching children to swim in our pool and I advised I would need retrospective planning. He provided a competitive bid and delivered exactly what he said he would do, and when, with updated drawings and a full planning statement using the formal planning objectives for the area. Throughout he answered my queries and kept us advised on how best to approach the council. The fact that he is based in another part of the UK was irrelevant, we communicated very well through email/phone.
