The chips were nice, but what did surprise me was the amount of scraps that were included. When I used to go to the chippy as a lad, I used to be asked Do you want scraps with that?" That was because all the scraps were removed and sold separately

I live in London, where it’s practically impossible to get good fish and chips. Visiting Manchester gave us the chance to get some decent chips for a change and good god… did they deliver. Some of the best chips I’ve had in years. The cod and hake were beautifully cooked and the mushy peas were the perfect accompaniment. I’m not exaggerating - it was so good that it reminded me of chippy teas with my grandparents who are no longer around, and I actually started tearing up. Special thanks to Paul, who was so warm and friendly it just topped the whole meal off perfectly. Thank you so much.
