Have done my Masters there in Marketing and branding. Perfect university for marketing geeks and sports lovers.... Huge campus with almost everything included, staff is so friendly and helpful especially for international students. Great help from different clubs and societies.... Sharp placement options too plus its reputation and name is enough to stand out in market. :)

Not great. About to enter my final year and can’t say i have been impressed.Awful halls to live in, very expensive but with frequent issues with buildings & maintenance staff very rude. The newer buildings are okay, but definitely avoid the older ones. Everything is always just slightly worse then it should be. Moved into new halls kitchen not been cleaned from last tenants etc. Work to be done to rooms which isn’t completed before tenants move in. All first hand experience. For context, I have lived in Mill, Shoreditch & spent a lot of time in Fleming.Fairly clean and quiet campus but no respect for residential quiet hours and frequently very loud. Definitely a common halls problem for all uni’s, but the brunel staff also contribute to this noise (frequently been woken up by cleaners from 6:30 am, multiple days a week). Sometimes staff even being rude while in your room/flat. The living standards would be my main complaint, make sure your okay with slightly substandard service before you commit! The only positive about the student living experience is that if you do put a formal complaint in (which unfortunately i have had to do) they are quick to respond to attempt to sort the issue. But in my experience, this is only true if you start a formal complaint.Facilities on campus ok, but nothing to write home about. Definitely not all modern and definitely not all clean all the time.Same with the course and lecturers. They’re good, depending on course, but feel like you could get a similar experience at a lot of universities. This is a more individual experience, so hard to make general comments on the standard. In my experience it has been okay, although i wouldn’t describe it as a supportive environment, theres long time between assessment to feedback and its usually pretty generic, as students we are expected to do everything 100%, and get penalised for infractions, but staff can often push back marking deadlines and not be the most communicative, but we are expected to be okay with that. But again, this heavily depends on course & lecturers. I have studied a year of politics and now going into my third year of law, so have had a varied experience of teaching over subjects as well as online teaching and in person teaching experience. To summarise, the living situation is what would put me off, the course and lecture stuff is pretty generic to most uni’s. Every single hall has problems but as its students theres no aim to fix it, or be better, but still charge astronomical rent. I have also privately rented during my time at uni, and found this to be a much more pleasant experience with higher quality everything (from communication with landlord/agent to the standard of room), which could be a solution if you’re set on Brunel (as some courses have great reputations). Too many problems over the years i’ve been here, to the point i chose to vacate my tenancy during covid 2021 just to feel comfortable and get a good night sleep, but now i’m in 2023 and facing similar issue! There is definitely a disconnect from Brunel in understanding that these are peoples homes, not just rooms they’ve rented out. They definitely do not treat you with the respect that it is your home, it’s business for them. Hoped it was a covid thing, but apparently not, so unfortunately not able to recommend. Also worth mentioning- awful awful awful wifi. I cannot stress this enough, ethernet okay, but wifi to my Iphone in all the halls i’ve lived in ABYSMAL. Again, another frequent experience.Happy to share more on my time here - as i’m sure i’m not the only one. I have read a lot of the other 1-2 star reviews and would say i agree with a lot of them, and all that has been said is a frequent & common student experience.

Best college and university, Infrastructure is modern, all the facilities are available, professor are knowledgeable and kind to their student, lots of activities on the campus, subway, costco, and many shops available to students for snacks.

My course was missold: I was told that Modern Drama Studies was 80% practical and 20% academic (written work) but in reality it was 50/50! I did not read for this course in order to have to take an elective in English Literature as the course on its own was not substantial enough to be able to get enough credits to pass the first year. Seriously like wth?! This was also never explained to anyone before hand, who wants to be forced to take an elective"?! Make sure you ask how practical it is and if you need to do other modules in other subjects to make up credits to get your degree. With regards to the drama course: the practical side of it was great if only it was 100% practical because who wants to be having to do so much written work and having to write reviews of plays?! It's a very confused course. Who is it for actors or theatre critics?! :s Luckily I left after 4 months!"

Beautiful college situated in the suburban town of Uxbridge, West London. I spent two weeks at the university during Summer 2023 and followed an English course for foreign students. It's a well organized campus.

Do not recommend. We as students are expected to meet every single expectation like submitting assignments on time etc etc but when it comes to the university fulfilling our expectations not even one star. Most lecturers do not communicate with the students for example if exam feedback will be posted two weeks later the actual date its meant to be released, module lecturers give no warning or advance emails but there we are as students on the online platform checking our grades wondering why they aren’t there. There are some senior lecturer/staff members who are so lovely but overall this university just isn’t it especially for my cohort who had been here throughout covid they did nothing for us but here we are paying 10 grand a year regardless have made zero friends and lived on prerecorded lectures for two years.
