PR was a bit of an unknown area for us as we did not really see the benefit of paying a PR company when we thought we could do it all inhouse. Yes we were good at Twitter, not bad at Facebook and could get the odd article in a trade magazine (but normally meant we had to pay for advertising as well) so I was apprehensive when I made the call to Russ (after following him on Twitter for a few months) to see what Cucumber could do for us that would increase our exposure generally and specifically with people who may need our services but had no idea what we did. Russ came to see me, asked me about the business, our unique selling points and how we would like to improve our exposure. He then went away sprinkled the answers with a lot of PR magic and Boom!
