Black Abbey Glasgow

I went to see Sophie with a very challenging coverup and scarred skin after a bad experience and years of laser. She’s super professional and watching her create a beautiful peace come to life from a very basic stencil just proves how talented she really is. Within the first hour I knew I was in good hands and that Id made a good decision finally . Overall it was an amazing pleasant experience and she really means it when she says she aims to give you a piece you'll love and be proud of. Super, super happy. Pictures dont do it enough justice.

Sara was my artist but all the staff were lovely. Warm and welcoming parlour with a beautiful gothic interior. The tattoo I got was done with great thought and care. The line work and shading are beautiful and the tattoo was everything I wanted. Sara was amazing and was easy to chat away to while being worked on. I have zero complaints and will absolutely be back again. Thank you to everyone for making it such an enjoyable day!

Got my 1st tattoo with proceeds going to the Beatson. Fiona was fantastic and made me feel really relaxed, if I ever choose to get another one I will definitely be going back to her. I also received an after care email which gave me some great advice, brilliant service!

I had got a few tattoos from Abbi at their previous place of work and I got my most recent one from them here and they absolutely nailed it. They are really good at makeing you feel comfortable, great with conversation and amazing at their job.

If i could give more stars I would. Highly recommend Black Abbey. Everyone is so friendly. I have very high anxiety but I felt so chilled out. Sophie was amazing. I didn’t just only get a tattoo I wanted, I got an even better version of the one I’d visualised. It’s so good I want to go back. I only had it done yesterday thanks to my daughter as a wonderful 50th Birthday Gift. So if your considering getting a tattoo be it the first time or not. You have to be mad not to go here. Id like to add both my girls have been here for theirs and never been disappointed. They don’t just give you a tattoo they give you an awesome piece of Art. (Mine is the top one with the Robin) both pieces were by Sophie. 17/06/23.

Just had some ongoing work done by Sophie. As always, I’m so happy with her work and the effort she puts in to my tattoos. The studio is fab and everyone is friendly and puts you at ease. I highly recommend. 5***

Fantastic wee team of staff!! Always go here for my tattoos and I am always met warmly by them all! Staff are incredibly hygienic and ensure everything is above and beyond standard. They are always up for a lovely chat and keep checking for consent to keep going throughout a tattoo to ensure your comfort! Genuinely wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my tattoos <3

My sister and I visited Black Abbey for our matching tattoos last week. Sophie created a beautiful piece for us that exceeded our expectations. She was incredibly professional and so friendly. She immediately put us at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend Sophie and would definitely use her in the future!!

When you've searched for years for just the right artist and you find a whole building of them! Sophie is beyond professional! Every single detail was discussed before any ink was applied. The tattoo I am in the process of getting is a full leg. Very personal meaning and each time I go into Black Abbey I am welcomed by everyone. What a friendly group of people and an immaculate tattoo set up. A very earthy place, artwork and plants make it homely. Sophie puts you at ease instantly and the genius of her artwork makes me feel like I have a painting on my leg. A few more sessions and I am then moving onto the next piece from Sophie and Sara.
