Lincoln

Came here recently to book a one-way ticket from Lincoln to Woodhouse. Upon my return, I saw on my banking app how that they had charged me twice for my ticket and at different times of the day... I went into the station and showed the man behind the counter my phone where he saw that my money had been taken out twice. However, he said that because I did not have my orange rail ticket with me, he couldn't refund me, as I did not have proof despite my app clearly showing that I had been charged twice. I ended up phoning Nationwide and they put the money back in my account for me. The attitude of railway staff is disgusting and they have the nerve to go on strike. Ukrainians would be very grateful to have their job.

My train from Lincoln to Nottingham got cancelled (nobody’s fault) and I had a really important event to get to, the lady working on 23/09/23 at 6am with brown hair deserves a lot of credit as she did everything she could to ensure I would get to my event on time and I was very happy with the solution (as I did get there on time haha)Thank you once again, highly recommend this station with their friendly and helpful staff :)

Amazing place. Lot's to see and do. Great places to eat and drink. Quite a steep hill to climb to get up to the Cathedral and Castle.

Excellent train station, good service and great staff, Kieron and Kelly couldn’t do enough for me.

First train at 08.35 on Sunday. Station locked until 08.15. No shelter outside for about 20 passengers waiting in the rain. What a way to run a railway!

After previous poor experiences I decided to ignore the station existed for a few years and see if anything had changed.Revisited 18th August 2021, new ticket gates arrived that aren't capable of reading mobile tickets, so staff will have to let you pass.Staff were on hand at 8am but had hidden away by 5pm.The customer information screens are incapable of showing complete information due to scaling. This mostly affects the ones by the ticket gates, by the entrance, and in the middle of Platform 4.Please note, if you're joining a London train, first class is normally on the A platform, with standard class on the B platform.There are new free toilets, that weren't open at the time of visit, by the old entrance to the café, on the left as you enter the station.Taxis are on hand to collect you from the station, local bus services are available from the nearby city bus station. Rail information is also available there.

Travelled from Lincoln train station to my destination. Nice station with friendly and helpful staff. A gentleman called Paul was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks

The only Station I’ve been to that has insisted that groups with Children have to scan every individual ticket. But they’ll happily make an entire station Queue to do it.
