Calico Campers - Campervan hire, Cheshire

Absolutely incredible! We loved every minute in the campervan 'Archie' he got us up every mountain in Scotland with no problem at all and even kept us safe and warm at night whilst it was heavy wind and rain. I can't recommend Calico Campers enough, if you're nervous about driving a van for the first time don't be as they are a dream to drive. We'll 100% be booking with Calico again for our next adventure!

We just spent 2 nights in ‘Archie’ on a trip to wales. Archie was perfect. Plenty of room for 2 people and also came with everything you could think of! Even the essentials - a cafetière and bottle opener.The van was spotless when we picked it up and economic on fuel. It had plenty of storage for food and other bits including a fridge. We didn’t have an electric hookup and never needed one due to the solar-powered leisure battery! We had no problems charging up phones or having the lights on most of the night. Table and chairs were supplied so we could have breakfast outside the van too.There was nothing we needed to take apart from bedding, food and booze.Mark and Claire were extremely helpful and their communication throughout was great, they were only ever a phone call away and were available whenever we needed them. The whole process was very smooth and we 1000% will be recommending Calico and Archie to friends and family. We are already planning our next adventure next year!

This was one of the best staycations that I have had and the great UK weather didn't stop us from having a great getaway thanks to Calico Campers. The service that the company provides is excellent. Great communication and engagement throughout the booking process and a first rate customer care service from the friendly Claire and Mark. The camper van experience was first rate and the ethos of the company attracted us to booking with them. The spacious camper gave us everything that we needed for a unique getaway to the Lake District at an affordable price. The van has everything that you need for a comfortable break and handles every terrain presented to us with ease. The induction process prior to departure was clear and concise and nothing too much trouble for C&M. Thanks to Calico Campers for making our holiday so memorable and we will definitely be back to book again with CC. Book early to avoid disappointment! Thank you Calico Campers.

Very late review! Sorry Claire!Amazing experience taking Archie up to Scotland for the NC500 and Isle of Skye. Really easy experience. Claire was lovely. My car was kept on the secure lock up where the campers are kept. Claire noticed that my tyre had gone flat while I was away so she dropped me a text and asked if there was anything she could help me sort. Really friendly easy experience. I usually hate camping but it had all the home comforts. Slept through an Amber wind warning at Dunnet Head (most northern mainland point in UK) perfect for the teeny roads in the Highlands.

We had a great 5 nights in ‘DANI’ taking the van all the way up to the Isle of Skye with a few stops in between.The camper was super comfy, especially the memory foam mattress and there was lots of space for cooking and chilling in the van in the evening. It’s modern design got loads of compliments!The van was really easy to drive and comfy for the long journeys.We booked with calico as it was really affordable for such a big van and spacious van and the unlimited mileage meant we could go further with out any additional costs. Claire from Calico Campers was also so helpful before and during the trip and was on hand to answer any questions about the van.I have already recommended renting a van with Calico to friends and family and would advise anyone else to book if you’re looking for a campervan adventure :) We will definitely be booking again!

This was my wife and my first time in a campervan so we had lots of questions, but Claire was always available to answer them and was incredibly accomodating.The van was spotlessly clean and we were guided through doing everything before setting off to make sure we were comfortable. We toured the entire of Scotland and Archie was perfect for it. Easy to drive and ideal for the narrow Scottish roads.We had such a wonderful time and we will certainly be returning to do this again! We hired ‘Dani’ to go to Glastonbury this year, the whole process was easy and Clare was brilliant in advising us on what to pack and what was in the van.A small stone chipped the windscreen on the way there and Clare was so helpful and understanding, getting everything sorted so we could still enjoy the rest of our journey and stay at the festival.We’ve already said we want to book it again for next year! Definitely the best way to experience a festival and not having to make the bed every night was a game changer!!!All in all it was a fab van and a great experience.

We hired the ‘Dani’ for 8 nights, to travel through Scotland with our dog. It was everything we wanted, enough space for the 3 of us to live comfortably and had everything we needed.Claire was great from start to finish, she’s so reliable and responded to any questions really quickly. She made us feel really at ease with the camper.Would highly recommend Calico campers!

We had the best weekend travelling round North Wales in Archie. Claire was super friendly and helpful, she showed us how to use the different components of the van as it was our first time and she couldn’t have made it more simple. Archie was compact but comfortable for us (two adults and one bonster the monster) which helped us down the single track roads of Wales. All in all it was a great birthday weekend thanks to Claire and Calico Campers (and Rufus).
