I first met Jo when she rebuilt a partially collapsed inglenook fireplace in our cob and stone cottage. I was impressed with her exceptional eye for detail, and the ability to offer up ideas and solutions to create the look that I was trying to achieve. I was delighted with the fireplace and since then, Jo has carried out various other work to include lime plastering and rendering, and most recently, the rebuilding of a stone retaining wall. All work has resulted in a high quality finish that blends sympathetically with our grade II listed thatched cottage. Not only does Jo do a fantastic job, she is also reliable, communicative and trustworthy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, and have already booked her to do further work.

Jo was recommended by a friend and I am so pleased we got in contact. We had a wall that was in a poor state & needed maintenance. Jo explained all the benefits of lime pointing & how it would help the building breathe, needless to say our damp issues in that room have finally begun to rectify now! I can’t believe the difference.She is a real perfectionist and you can see this in the day to day care and finish in her work. I never thought pointing could look so good!

We got in contact with Jo to install some oak lintels and rebuild a stone pillar and window surround. From the start, she was an absolute pleasure to speak to and work with.She had great communication prior to starting, which really reassured us that she would be there when said she would.She was immensely knowledgeable and passionate about the material and craft and that showed with the work that she produced.She managed to stick to her estimated timescale even though there were a couple of extra bits that needed attention.Really impressed with all aspects of her work and she exceeded our expectations on all levels.
