Animal Friends Insurance

Animal Friends are what they say - friendly towards our pets! They were wonderful when my dog Lucy went through various procedures before losing her life. No quibbles. Now my new dog Poppy has already had a scrape needing stitches and the claim was met quickly and without any problems. Highly recommend.

Send emails saying called but never call. Tell you there waiting for the vet to call but don't talk to the vet. Don't reply to calls don't reply to emails don't give updates. Been over a month now info on claim. Automatic bot sends link to service levels they don't follow or hit. Will not be a returning customer.Dogs love everyone unconditionally, and my dog doesn't like you. That's about the sum. Of it. Didn't respond to repeated contact so review here. I await a generic copy paste response.

I have used Animal Friends Insurance for a few years now. I must say the times that I have claimed the process has been really easy with the on line portal, and payments to claims have been so quick I cannot fault them. My pets are quite old now and this was one of the only insurance companies that would take them on and the policy cost is really reasonable compared to other companies I looked at. When I have had questions I have been able to chat on the phone or even via their chat on the website. response times have been quick. I would highly recommend Animal Friends.

Our cat Baldrick has been insured with Animal friends for nearly a decade. We have never had any problems making his numerous claims, they’re always processed so quickly. For costly operations for his hip dysplasia, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, 5 weekly pain relief injections & more. Animal Friends has been amazing throughout.

I've been with this insurer for a few years now and on the odd occasion when I had to claim, I found the process relatively straightforward, with payments promptly made. I recently lost my beautiful Springer spaniel and contacted them today for advice on a few issues including my last claim with them. The man I spoke with was so very kind and compassionate, gave me the info and advice I needed and put notes on the system so I wouldn't have to go over the same areas with someone else. I would definitely recommend this insurer. I also found their Joli app vet service invaluable over this past year

Terrible insurance company. Refused to pay for a scan for my dog as she had suspected bladder stones and apparently it was noted previously she had suspected bladder stones even though she had only been treated for a urinary tract infection. Did the scan anyway and she has multiple cancerous tumours. Thanks animal friends for making an extremely difficult time even more stressful. Are they now going to pay for the scan as it’s NOT BLADDER STONES?! Probably not!! We have used animal friends for 13+ years even paying for the top level of cover. Absolute scam!! They have only paid out on a few occasions when my dog ruptured her crucial ligament they paid out £700 for a £5000 operation. Terrible company go elsewhere!!

Discussed with the 30% raise of the monthly/yearly payment of the insurance, considering that no claims were made and nothing has changed regarding the insured pet's condition. Wouldn't recommend it at all for new customers. Try to find a fair company to manage your loved ones.Btw, I have been with them for 3 years, and my wife's insuring history with them goes back for more than 6 years, but they didn't care at all when this issue of a 30% raise on our payments was raised.Search elsewhere!

Insured my dog for the past 11 years with AF and can't fault them. My most recent claim had a discrepancy on a few items. After one email outlining my reasoning I received a response ahead of SLA which reversed the decision and paid the discrepancy into my account no issue. Easy general claim process with my vet taking care of all the paperwork. I've had a number of calls with representatives for advice who have always been helpful and friendly.

We have used animal friends for a number of years. Our pet has an ongoing medical condition which has required seeing a specialist, surgery, ongoing treatment and specialist reviews. We have found claiming for this an easy process..particularly as the vet can claim direct and the process for claiming repeat medications is straight forward. As much as we now have to contribute 20% towards each claim due to our pets age I certainly wouldn't want to be without insurance and I would recommend animal friends

Don't trust them. ill be cancelling my policy after this year. I've had animals friends insurance for my dog since we got him, he is 5 now. I've never claimed once, this year renewal went from £39 per month to £120 per month!!! that's roughly a 207% increase. the person on the phone said its because everything is going up??? but inflation was at 11% not 207%. the worst part was I up my excess from £100 to £150, all of a sudden my monthly premiums went back to £40 per month proving they was trying to rip me off. I wonder if the Financial Conduct Authority should know about this????
