I took my partner for her birthday, the staff were extremely friendly and it was a pleasure to meet one of the owners Arlo. The photos speak for themselves! The food was divine, cocktails were great. Wonderful experience, as a meat eater; this restaurant has changed the way I see vegan food. Thank you to all the staff for a great time ❤️

@bonsaiplantkitchenWOWWWW. Let's start there.•Fri Lunch set: 'lamb' skewers, 'chicken' slider & dirty rice (£15)•Fri Lunch set: sweet potato skewers, 'chicken' slider & dirty rice (£15)•gyoza (£7.25), dirty rice (£6)Easily the BEST lunch set I've had hands down! I will be returning. Can't stop thinking about that bowl of dirty rice. You'll understand if you've tried it.HIGHLY recommend especially if you're only coming for a day trip to Brighton!!

Unreal. My mind was blown I just had to take the time to write a review. It was our first visit and by god I'm definitely coming again when I'm back in Brighton. The food is delicious, every dish a great balance of flavours, smells and textures. The servers were delightful, helpful, knowledgeable. The drinks were delicious. The Mongolian style lamb" actually blew my mind I was amazed by the texture of it.My only critique would be the varnish on the tables make them a bit sticky so they remind me of a bar I used to work at where no matter how much you clean them they're always sticky! But that's literally the only fault I can find and I'm being nitpicky there.Definitely worth a visit trust! It's easy to see how it's so highly rated."

Absolutely amazing from start to finish ❤️We had the best time at Bonsai Plant Kitchen, thanks to Arlo and their wonderful team. The ordering system of crossing off what you want on a paper menu is fun and it means you can keep track of your small plates so you know what’s left to come.Cocktails were delicious and had new flavour combinations, I loved the Black Passion Rum Punch. The Vietnamese Espresso Martini special was brilliant too.The food was out of this world, the corn, the gyozas, the spring rolls. The best for me was the sea bream- I couldn’t believe it wasn’t real fish.I am an avid meat eater and always have been, but the whole menu was so good, and somethings were such good replicas, you wouldn’t even know you weren’t eating meat.Amazing- can’t wait to come back ❤️

Stunning vegan food, Vietnamese style. A bit on the expensive side considering the size of plates but it is absolutely worth it. I wish there was no noise from the kitchen exhaust.

Finally got the chance to go here tonight and it was so lovely the food was incredible. One of the best meals out I’ve ever had. I can see why it’s always booked. We’re gonna come next month for our wedding anniversary it was that good. Our server was great very knowledgeable didn't catch their name (short blonde hair)

Go to Bonsai!!!!!!Best new restaurant in Brighton hands down!Such gorgeous food, it has an open kitchen which I like! And not once did the kitchen get behind or flustered, they run it completely professionally like a well oiled machine, and the food will blow your mind!I have dined all over the world and uk and this is some of the best food I have ever eaten.....the menu is very straight forward and Arlo who is front of house, is superb, amazing for such young owners but they bring vibrance and something exciting to Brighton, we will be back in November!I can't recommend enough, I promise you that it is money very well spent, amazing, simply amazing!

Amazing food, great service. Everything was very enjoyable and we weren't rushed out like in other restaurants. everything we had was well cooked and well made. Very tasty. Kimchi, crispy fish" and sweet potato was my fave. Oyster mushrooms were a favourite of my partner and HE DOESN'T LIKE MUSHROOM! would definitely return."
