By Design was the third shop I visited when looking for my wedding dress and it was by far the friendliest and most relaxed that I went to. They had a really good range of beautiful dresses and there was no pressure and hard sell from the owner, unlike some of the previous shops I'd been to. I found the dress of my dreams at this store - I'm not a dress person but I didn't want to take this one off! Sarah is very professional and nothing is too much trouble for her - I loved the fact that any alterations could be done at the same place I bought the dress from. The friendliness and great customer service was apparent each time I had an appointment. I would definately recommend By Design to anyone looking for their wedding dress!

Sarah is simply amazing! I visited By Design in September 2017 when looking for my wedding dress for April 2018. I instantly felt at ease with Sarah. She listened to what I wanted and helped me choose the most beautiful dress. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to make a decision (which I did from other places). Sarah is also a seamstress and altered my dress numerous times (at my request!) patiently and perfectly. The finished result was stunning! If you’re looking for a beautiful selection of dresses, in a relaxed, fun and professional environment then I highly recommend By Design.

The By Design team were just brilliant for my bridesmaid dresses. Always a relaxed atmosphere in there, easy to book in and excellent customer service. I also had alterations completed which were brilliant and done super quickly! There was an issue with one of my bridesmaids coming from Australia days before the wedding, but Sarah and the team were able to be flexible and book her in and alter her dress in no time! Really pleased with my experience here and encourage others to try here if needing bridesmaid dresses as they have so many to choose from! The girls were so comfortable all day. Thank you ladies!

Sarah was absolutely amazing in helping me with my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. After a bad experience in another shop I really felt I could trust her. Having tried several different shops Sarah is definitely the best as she is so knowledgeable, patient and such a lovely person.

Sarah and her staff are just the best! We tried on basically everything and my sister found her dress!! They are always so busy there so we were lucky to get a Saturday appointment. They also do all the alterations in shop, loads of other places get someone else to do it or send it off. We felt so much happier it’s safe with them. Also got our vail and shoes from them! They have bridesmaid dresses which we will be looking at in the next few weeks, my sister is super happy with the quality and price of these dresses. Thank again!!! My sister, Mum and myself are excited to come back to get more!

Amazing shop for the customer service alone-Sarah, who helped us today was such a gem. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and she offered a couple of extra services that totally blew us away! She practically made our day- even getting excited about our wedding! Beautiful selection of all kinds of amazing dresses and traditional men’s suits.

After shopping around in a few different places, I settled on By Design for my wedding dress. Sarah was really helpful - instead of letting me try on dress after dress to see which one sticks, she made good suggestions as to styles that would compliment my curvy figure, and then also accessories to go with it. We found the perfect dress maybe three dresses in, which is pretty fast! I had already put down a deposit for a dress at another shop, but Sarah's fantastic service, and the much better quality dresses, helped me make a decision - which turned out to be the right one!Sarah was very flexible when it came to dates for fittings, and was also very professional when it came to helping my bridesmaids (we also got their dresses from By Design - they have a wide array of designs and colours).On the wedding day, everyone kept saying how lovely the dress was. Unfortunately (and to my absolute horror), just as I was about to walk down the aisle I did snag the dress on the corner of a door and it tore, but there were so many lovely layers to the dress so no one really noticed to be honest. The dress was so comfortable and easy to walk in due to Sarah's alterations.The only recommendation I would make, if they don't already do it, is for By Design to start selling bridal shoes as well. This did not appear to be a service they offered as it wasn't mentioned, and I found it really difficult to find bridal shoes online, let alone on the high street - this seems to be a gap in the market that I feel By Design could look into in order to provide a complete package". A very friendly and professional service, nothing is never too much trouble for Sarah and her team!I have found the perfect wedding dress thanks to Sarah’s patience, also all my bridesmaids have found the perfect dress for them, plenty of styles and colours available! Would highly recommend!!

I highly recommend By Design, Sarah was so helpful, supportive and patient in getting my wedding dress perfect for our wedding day. Having walked around multiple bridal shops and tried on over 20 dresses, I felt like I was never going to find the right dress, they were either the wrong style, shape or didn’t have straps. However, when we arrived at By Design, Sarah made me feel like anything was possible. I fell in love with a dress that didn’t have straps but her response was ‘no problem, I can add those‘ which just made my day! I absolutely love my dress, the straps Sarah added look perfect and the other alterations were great and really helped on the day.
