I recently enjoyed a phenomenal experience at the No1 Lounge at Birmingham International Airport (BHX), largely thanks to the exceptional staff, particularly Taybah.The ambiance was welcoming, with comfortable seating and panoramic runway views that fascinated. Not much space if busy, as it was at Sunday lunchtime. Staff were very friendly, food was ok - but I don't think I'd return based on the amount of people / noise levels. It's not exactly a quiet lounge experience, it's a room with a buffet and a bar. Seating area at the up looks nice, but usually reserved or taken. Small quiet area to one side, but again full. Also full of families and kids.

Nice lounge but the seating is a little cattle shed rather than intimate, we found a nice corner but others herded into benches.

Food was cold and not a great selection. Bar staff friendly and tables were always kept clean and free of empties. Certain parts of the lounge felt like a no go area for a single female traveller and were male dominated.

What a complete and utter disappointment! The description of a quiet lounge, with great food choices, a place to relax and start your holiday is totally misleading. It’s noisy like being in a school canteen, plates banging, cutlery crashing, limited seating fir dining. The food choice is pathetic unless you love Carbs!!! The only veg was a pulp, so great if you don’t have your own teeth! So so disappointed with food, we choose a lounge as the other airport restaurants have really gone down hill but after this I wonder if they all cater I the same place, at least it’s table service in the main airport. Even the coffee is from a self service machine, really poor. As for peaceful and relaxing that’s a complete joke, it was noisy and more difficult to get a seat and than the main airport. I could go on….. please don’t waste your money unless you think you can drink £40 of booze in 2 hours. The only good thing was the staff were friendly and the helpful.

Booked the No1 lounge for my and my partner prior to flying out to Mexico from BirminghamAs this was a early flight we knew we would want breakfast and the Wetherspoons now is very dear for what you getWe calculated it would work out cheaper for us to book into a lounge via our tastecard which gave us a discount on the price rather than having breakfast and a few beers at the SpoonsBreakfast options consisted of your standard full English options and a bread roll and there was a very small continental style breakfastMarked the breakfast down as the quality is okay but expected more from a airport lounge which is advertised as Luxury".The seating is comfy enough but it can get bit noisy as the day goes on and the lounge gets busierWould recommend dependant on what time you are flying and how much you want to eat and drink"

Complete disgrace. Arrived at 11:30am, no food as they were changing over between breakfast and lunch so had to wait half an hour. Pancake machine broken so asked what snacks were available for the kids, staff pointed to a bowl of fruit. Food finally arrives, no kids food, no fries nothing only chickpea curry, sweet potato etc. We did eat as there was no other option, food was blaned, I thought I may as well try and get my monies worth at the bar to be told they don't serve pints just beer in small children's glasses. Also no deserts and average coffee. Honestly don't bother, eat in the main area.
