A great store and great staff! Knowledgeable, helpful and excellent value. I'd much rather buy from real people I can speak to rather than impersonal faceless superstores. I'm thrilled with my Martin 12 String! This is my second Martin from The Guitar Store.

Repaired my fret buzz and adjustment on truss rod.Charged me nothing and round the corner in the other shop, was going to cost me £16.. Just found out they do one on one lessons down stairs at a great cost.. Very helpful indeed

Very bad. They changed the schedule days work and doesn't updates at Google Maps. I walked 45 minutes running around the store, who says at Google Maps is open but when I finally found, was closed with some working days just at the door in a paper printed.Then, if you have Holliday Closure period, would be nice and much better for the clients being updated about where is really important: www.

Great guitar store. I've purchased 3 guitars from them. Tony is a great guy and knows his stuff. Answers all questions straight away. Great no rush attitude and no pressure to buy. As Arnie would say. I'll be back

This shop has one of the most innovative and creative storefront displays for any type of shop, but especially for a guitar shop. It’s such a great replica of a fender amplifier right down to the finer details. And even better when the store is closed because the roller shutters pull down to mimic almost exactly the famous Fender grille cloth to complete the image of a huge guitar amplifier. The large adjustment knobs go all the way up to 11, in a clever reference to the spinal tap movie… “because it’s louder”. Jamie the store owner is very welcoming and knowledgeable and he has an extensive range of guitars, accessories and more, for a smalltown shop. Well worth searching this place out.

Went in here on a Southampton trip today with no intention of buying anything, let alone a pricey guitar, just fancied a look as the Isle Of Wight is incredibly disappointing with it's lack of music stores... £240 later and I'm the happiest I've ever been with a guitar purchase.Absolutely brilliant collection of instruments, and the staff are impeccable. The young staff members were friendly and offered straight away for me to play the guitar of my choosing, and the man who served us went beyond out of his way to make sure the guitar was safe to travel home in the poor weather after tolerating my massive indecisiveness over whether or not I should actually buy the guitar.Overall I'm incredibly satisfied with my purchase, will come here every time I'm in Southampton and will 100% recommend anyone else to pop in as well.

My husband took our son here to buy his next guitar. They were so helpful, allowing plenty of time to try out different guitars and giving sensible advice without any sales pressure. They also took in his old guitar to repair a connection and re-string it and we were very happy with the result. Will definitely be back in the future and would recommend them highly.
