Jono was the hike leader during my trip in the Wicklow Mountains. He has a lovely vibe and shares his passion for mountains and outdoors activities with the group. Jono took care of us from the beginning to the end of our trip. I strongly recommend him as a guide!

I hired Jono to introduce me to climbing prior to a visit to Skye. I have previous experience of scrambling, but no rope usage. Jono got me up to speed on a variety of rope work and introduced me to various bits of kit and gear that you'd use while climbing. This was all done while actually climbing, so you learn by doing, by example. Rather than correct mistakes immediately (unless they are safety criticial) he allows you to make the mistake then gently corrects you. This is very useful for learning and doesn't have the downside of being told No

It was absolutely fantastic to spend two days on the Mountain Skills course, I would highly recommend it. Jono was lovely, and explained all aspects of the course so clearly. It was a greatly enjoyable experience, and I learnt so much!

I took a climbing confidence course with Jono. He was able to steer the course in a way that both participants benefited despite different climbing abilities. The venue selection was perfect and chosen to fit the purpose of the training. It was great to be able to discuss the obstacles that each of us faced while climbing and get some tips and advice from someone who has much more experience. Jono is very knowledgeable and is also a great listener. He answered all of our questions and concerns we had. I would not hesitate contacting Jono for future courses that he offers. Thanks Jono.

Jono took me over the East Face of Tryfan on North Buttress Variant and then down the North Ridge. It was my first experience of roped climbing / scrambling. At all times he was very informative and professional and there was never any doubt as to his commitment to safety. He is good craic too particularly when it comes to Father Ted episodes! Strongly recommended as a guide / instructor.

Jono was one of leads of our weekend hiking trip around the Wicklow mountains. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the outdoors, kept the team together even in a day with not so great weather condition. So welcoming from the very beginning. Would definitely join him in other hiking trips.
